if only iOS wouldn't put those crappy shadows behind the label of the Apps on bright wallpapers, than the pride wallpaper would actually be usable.

Anyway, gonna do a complete wipe of my iPhone now. The battery has been crap on my 12 PM on the last few betas. Maybe it is just placebo but it usually solves some things

Trust me, you want those shadows. They do more good than harm.

If they put news app for others countries, like Portugal, as promised for years!!!

Couple of items...

iPad Pro 11 - Safari
When long pressing on a link on a page, selecting open may result in a blank locked tab. Good example is the Alert Bell in this site. Was present in beta 3, corrected in beta 4, and back with RC.

iPhone 13 ProMax - Battery
Overnight on idle, the phone consumed 19% of battery with no corresponding activity. Usually only eats 2% or less.

iPad and iPhone - Proton Mail
Opens quickly but takes forever to load. Works fine in Safari. Started with Beta 4 and continues in RC.

iPhone - Notifications
When scrolling they are jumpy and laggy. More of a nuisance.
Notification between devices (MBP, AWU, iPhone, iPad) are not synced
Notifications for Messages and Calls are not triggering on AWU. They are listed but no sound or haptic is triggering.

iPhone - Health
Medication detail when clicked crashes app. Think Zollo mentioned this last beta.

iPhone / iPad - Mail
Exchange accounts set in mail, even though push and badges working properly, will not load till after opening app.

More to come...

Now that a day has passed since the RC was released, I feel like I can finally say that it took Apple almost a year but that they finally got a version of iOS 16 that is good. Let’s hope it doesn’t turn out to disappoint, but I just have a few more days before it’s going to be time for 17.

With regards to battery it will be worse doing the first day or so as there is bunch of background tasks that happen after an system update

Wow, nice results. I am really jealous, since your screen time is much better, than on my 13 Pro.
Ye, with 16.4.1a. I had about 6-8 hours which is also good considered the 80% battery health but im really happy with my 8h+ now so far

Edit: Spelling

Try toggling to Public Beta and then back to Developer Beta channel and see whether that helps to bring up the watch update.

Axel F.
The Watch update will appear when the public release is out. You can have the update earlier enlisting the Watch on the same beta program as the iPhone.

Tabs works fine.

CarPlay crashed last year for me.

Notifications works fine. Haven’t even experienced the square corners thing.

So as an Ip14pro users, it’s all sailing from what you’re experiencing. Not rubbing that in. Just some perspective from another user.

Have you done a restore or was it that you had too much music to risk doing that? (Might not have been you)

I'm not nuking my phone.

And good for you, I'm glad everything is apple pie and roses.

Is anyone having strange connectivity problems with the rc? Ever since yesterday I’ve been getting logged out of iMessage and now I cannot activate it, I don’t know if it’s a problem on my end or if it’s a bug.

Basically I cannot text anyone at all.

Ready to downgrade to 16.4

Other than wifi calling still being borked on my home network (actually extremely annoying, but not unique to this build—perhaps something with ISP/router) pretty much solid here

Well to be honest, stop your moaning and getting angry at every message, firstly.

If you are so unwilling to try and fix your phone, then its tuff. Software always has issues, nothing is ever perfect and beta software, well...

As I was pointing out, not all users have your problems, so you're kinda stuck and will just have to live with it.

You can get angry at this message too, but posting on here complaining and people trying to offer advice or support to help your issue is pointless, as you're completely resilient against it. I've reinstalled just the iOS countless of times and done hundreds of restores for it to only better my phone.
