For those that have the stutter please email macrumors to update the article. Otherwise apple may think it’s fixed and do nothing.

I thought waiting out a generation would result in a lag And bug free ProMotion experience. Sad

I have an iPhone 12 mini, and all of the iOS 16 betas I downloaded, as well as the official iOS 16.1 release gave me this same problem. I thought it was either an overheating problem or a GPU problem, but it must be in iOS, I guess.

About 24 hours into installing the latest beta on my 14 Pro, and so far so good. I came from 16.1.1, which stuttered a lot after a day or so.

Hello, greetings from Germany, I have the same problem here a friend also, we do not know how to help ourselves. In the Apple Store they always say we should reset the phone done but still it changes nothing no matter what we do. We always have this big stutter. Meanwhile, we are at iOS 16.1 and the stuttering always comes after 2-3 days.

14PM Extremely Stuttering like a 10 years old phone / My phone is from the first release day

13PM works normally in the same configuration without stuttering. What the hell can this be?

1.579,00 € for stuttering ... unbelievable ....

The swipe up animation stutter stopped for me with 16.2 B1, B3, and RC (I skipped B2 and B4).

Does anyone here use Sleep Cycle alarm clock? I feel like the stuttering is at it's peak after using that app
Yes, I also use this, and have noticed the animation is easiest to reproduce in the mornings after using it. I wonder if 16.2 solves this?

It’s been fixed for me on the 14 Pro since 16.2 beta 3. Now on 16.2 RC since it released last week and still no stutter. Others report they’re still getting it, though, so ymmv.

Definitely improved after installing 16.2, but returned after five or six days. Not as egregious as previously, but certainly not fixed for me. Disappointing; as somebody else has pointed out, it makes this flagship phone feel like a mid-range Android device. Money well spent… 🤦‍♂️🙄😡

Yeah I would agree. It has improved, but it still isn't as smooth as it used to be.

Still happening with me on 16.2. When I first installed it, there was no stutter for about 2-3 days. Then the stutter came back. This is ridiculous.
