Installed B1 on my 2020 iPad Pro. So far almost everything is working fine except one. I can’t get any cellular data it just says no service and under the control panel the cellular is greyed out and says cellular off when its on. Anyone else have this issue or work around. If i can’t get it to work im going to have to go back as its a dealbreaker

I deleted my cellular profile and re added it and the Esim. its showing an LTE connection and the correct plan in the cellular but I cant get anything to load. I also noticed that under "About" it says cellular data number unknown

Does anyone know if the display scaling feature, if enabled, will also reduce the page zooming % in other web browsers such as Edge and Chrome?

Asking this because I'm forced to used Edge to access work-related stuff but the lack of ability to zoom out is kinda annoying. Would be great if the new "dense" mode helps with this!

Oh wow. That’s a lot of devices, but 7/7 does seem to suggest something wrong. I wonder if it’s a particular configuration setting on your wifi that is causing a bug to be exhibited.

Can you get any diagnostics from the orbi or other devices? Showing association.disassociation/errors etc? How about from iOS console/logs for wifi. Anything there? Can more tracing be enabled (sorry I don’t know how - only done this on mac/windows)

The last time I had something ‘odd’ like this was with macOS being unable to roll over the security on WPA3 so every 10 mins it would reconnect!

I did have more issues generally (with all devices) when using a fragmented network (asus, separate extender). I moved to. Fritz box mesh (3 devices, GBe backhaul) and it’s been good, but am sure orbi would be too.

Oh then I read you said you have issues in the office too - is that a very different network configuration?

How obvious are the issues. I’ve only been on the update (ipad) for a few hours last night and didn’t notice anything, though not done ping graphs etc.
Thanks for the thoughtful and helpful reply. It’s still occurring, I went to four other locations today with different wifi systems, a google mesh, a Comcast unit, AT&T and a buddy that has an asus wifi… I brought 3 devices with me and it fails on every one of them on all these wifi locations. The work wifi is a enterprise wifi system and it too had issues.

Last night I reset all 3 homepods and none of them will connect to wifi and no way to force it, so all 3 are broken now. The appleTV drops wifi everytime it goes to sleep, the ipad and iPhones drops wifi a few times a day… never reconnect. Once I connect everything works perfectly. So the issue is purely auto-join.

I am thinking it has something to do with wifi and private relay as I always disabled that and now the setting is gone so I can’t enable/disable and that may be why nothing auto-joins Known wifi.

on the ORBI which is the only one I can change router settings on, I tried renaming the wifi, I turned off bit-defender security built into the wifi, turned off nat filtering, gave one device a static IP, and made sure no peer-2-peer blockers on. Oh and I tried flipping from WPA2 to WPA3. ORBI also has seperate guest network, which is open and it won’t auto-connect to that.

it’s amazing I have 100% issues and everyone else is working fine and googling it appears I’m all alone here with the wifi issue… so strange.

Scrolling through a chat still crashes, but it's all good. That would've been a quick fix. Though you can't mention iOS-16 compatibility in release notes until September, many developers will update their apps with stability fixes (if so that they can use it themselves) over the summer.
could you elaborate more on " you can't mention iOS-16 compatibility in release notes until September" is that from Apple??

iPad Pro 11 2020
Safari

Running into a time or three where pop up menus won’t close. Usually have to kill safari and relaunch.
Until the menu is closed some function (like refresh) won’t work.

you may be having VPN issues with safari, I remember a previous bug with Private relay clashing with 3rd party VPN, maybe check that out "VPN on VPN OFF Daniel San"

Apple doesn’t let any apps that advertise support with the beta tested iOS in release notes. So although it might be a simple fix for them, Apple will not let it pass as a bug fix for that. Instead it must go under “general bug fixes” as the change log

But it won’t be specifically to iOS 16 yet, right? Until iOS 16 is an official release.

I believe they cannot ship anything with iOS 16 APIs. But I don’t think that stops them from fixing compatibility issues that are not API-dependent. If that were not the case, none of the banking apps that didn’t work under the iOS 15.0 beta would have worked until iOS 15 was released publicly. That clearly was not the case.

Much better worded with what I was trying to say. 👍🏼 thanks buddy.

Notifications being at the bottom is definitely taking some getting used to. I understand and agree practically, but I just never look there lol.

I hear ya, but I love how discrete they are and when you need them, swipe up.

Sometimes the screen got so full my brain would hurt trying to search for what was important. And it would feel a bit stressful. Stupid brain, needs an update, been stuck on 1.0 for years 😜

I miss being able to disable a Focus mode on the lockscreen
You can (sort of), if you have a lock/home-screen configured for that Focus mode, by holding the lock-screen then swiping to one which has another (or no) Focus mode set.

Or from the control panel (which will switch lock screens too if required).
