Has anyone had any issues with the apple magsafe charger? I almost eclusively use the magsafe charger and noticed that it is charging much slower since updating. Once it reaches 80%, the percentage stops progressing. But if placed on the magsafe charger above 80% it continues charging. Also, I don't have optimized charging enabled and experience no issues when using a lightning cable.

Only issue I'm having with charging is that optimized charging isn't working, even though I have it on...and it was working every night up until this beta.

Hasn't mattered if I actually plug a charger in or use the MagSafe one. Could have something to do with the fact that I'm hooking up to a charger during the day, so I don't quite want to tie the optimized charging issue to the beta. I'm going to try my best to not hook up to a charger before bedtime today (which is how I normally charge, but beta battery life has other ideas 😂) so we'll see what happens.

I hear ya, but I love how discrete they are and when you need them, swipe up.

Sometimes the screen got so full my brain would hurt trying to search for what was important. And it would feel a bit stressful. Stupid brain, needs an update, been stuck on 1.0 for years 😜
Agree – and I'm finding it easier to use one-handed, one notification at a time. I don't place photos of people or animals on my lock screen, but I fetch a lot of folks do, so this keeps that middle space open.

I’m trying to see if a complete erase will fix it. Glad it’s on my secondary iPhone 😂.
Update: first tried Reset all Setting and that changed nothing.

Next I just did an Erase and Restore which brought back my iCloud+ settings and Private Relay. Good news!

I thought about reinstalling with IPSW but I didn’t have it easily accessible.

Glad it’s back 👊🏼
High chance then the reinstall would have worked too I reckon.

Gmail was in beta for years!

Seriously, though, Private Relay seems still to have some significant issues. Wish they'd devote the necessary resources to fix it. If it ain't ready for primetime, pull it out.
Oh definitely. I used it on my iPhone and MacBook for about 3 months last summer/early fall and I just found that it slowed Safari down significantly. I turned it off and didn't bother looking at it again, hence my surprise seeing it's still labeled as beta. Apple even managed to get Universal Control (mostly) working properly, strange it's taken them this long to get PR right.

Preparing is on your phone; not related to any servers.

Often, the first beta will roll BACK modem firmware rather than forward, as they would have started with iOS 16 a while ago.

So we did get a modem update… 👍🏼

iOS 15.6b2
  • iPhone 12/Mini/Pro/Max: 2.54.01
iOS 16

I was having issues with third-party apps not syncing between devices. Like many, I was missing private relay and also iCloud drive (which was the problem). I logged out of icloud, restarted and logged back in and everything under the icloud section was there and back to normal. Only happened on my iphone - ipad never had an issue.

This worked for me too.

Apple is not signing this version, so without being a developer I don't see a way to install this version via ipsw. I guess the developers will use another method to install.

Unless I’ve read your message wrong, but I’ve installed it via IPSW. That’s how I got iOS 16 on my phone. I don’t use OTA.

Cool feature that is useless on the iPhone - you can drag the image out, but can't get to messages or mail to drop it... oh, so close!
Actually, after you long press to select the subject and LET GO, a pop up for copy/share appears. Hit copy, tap I. The text window in messages and hit paste. Viola…

You can also use a different finger to swipe to another app (while holding the subject you’ve selected)
