Has anyone had any issues with the apple magsafe charger? I almost eclusively use the magsafe charger and noticed that it is charging much slower since updating. Once it reaches 80%, the percentage stops progressing. But if placed on the magsafe charger above 80% it continues charging. Also, I don't have optimized charging enabled and experience no issues when using a lightning cable.
The only thing I can think of is that your phone is stopping charging after 80% due to the optimized charging. Have you tried disabling this feature and see what it does? My phone does this in my car when driving home from work when I use carplay even, charges to 80% then stops. This is based on "Common charging habits" and is designed to pick up so that the phone is not staying at 100% for hours.

Running this on a 13PM and an Xs, no issues on either apart from Wi-Fi Calling on the 13PM which I've turned off, basically the other party can hear me but not the other way around, and yes it is reported :)

I wonder if this is my problem, I hadn’t noticed my Wi-Fi calling was on but I’ve only noticed it’s been either in work or home which is exactly where I have Wi-Fi calling

How’s the heat issue going on your phone?
Thanks for checking in. It's really just when on the lock and home screens; not as much using apps, and it's cool when on standby (sitting on my desk). Since I'm not seeing any glitchiness with apps, my instinct is it's related to some of the new features, and it'll resolve in a beta or two. I could try the iOS reinstall process, but it feels risky.

I can’t clear notifications swiping left and deleting when a concentration mode is active. Delete button does nothing.

Unless I’ve read your message wrong, but I’ve installed it via IPSW. That’s how I got iOS 16 on my phone. I don’t use OTA.
and how did you get it? 3utools gives me an SHSH error because apple does not authorize the update, and in itunes it asks me for the latest version, when I already have it, which is 12.12.4 if I remember correctly right now. if you are a developer, i guess apple will have provided you some way to install it, but if you are a normal user you can only do it with profiles via OTA. It would be good for me to update with ipsw, to see if that way I can better reinstall the modem and improve coverage, but I'll have to wait for the public beta I'm afraid.

Can you be more specific? There are over 1,000 posts in this thread... hard to find what you're specifically asking about... please quote the post that you are asking about...
Anyone else having issues with Apple Music in CarPlay? After about 8 minutes the sound becomes garbled and full of static. If I disconnect the phone from the car (and reconnect obviously) it clears up for about another 8-10 minutes and goes bad again.

This is no matter the source- my library or Apple Music (stream), even does it for music that is saved on my phone.

Only one real issue I have encounter so far, and it seems to be a doozy.

Connecting my 13PM to wired CarPlay seems to send the phone into a death spiral after a little while. Starts out all good, then after a while of streaming apple music the phone becomes so incredibly sluggish and almost non-responsive. If I wait long enough, I can usually get a SpringBoard crash. If I do a hard reset, then all is good for awhile on CarPlay. If I don't use CarPlay, the phone works rather well for a first beta.

Anyone else noticing drastic fluctuations in their storage space? Without really adding anything to the phone, my phone is gaining and losing space randomly by like tens of gbs’s. Never had this happen with a beta before.

• Downloaded the IPSW file from my Apple Dev account.
• Installed a mobilesync.dmg from xcode so my phone would sync with finder.
• Plugged my phone in.
• Hold down option and clicked on “check for update” button
• Select the IPSW
• Install.

And if I needed to reinstall the iOS again, id plug my phone in and repeat the steps from that point. No data lost.

Anyone else using the detailed Earth background? It seems to to tied to US timezone even though I'm in the UK, so current, early afternoon, everything is dark.. Last night was all lit up in the sun

Switch off and on Astronomy settings under Location settings. That fixed it for me.

I am not a developer, even so I have the ipsw. I also have windows, and as I told you, 3utools gives an authorization error from apple to install the update, and itunes tells me that I need a newer version, which does not exist today. I suppose that those of you who are developers will have all the necessary tools to install it, but what we are not, today there is no way to update with ipsw in a traditional way. I guess that until the public beta comes out, apple will not start signing ios 16 to install it in a traditional way.

ok I know this sounds stupid, but dam Safari is faster and noticeable (no joke). for me the iPad 16 beta 1 is actually pretty stable (knock on wood) lot more apps etc that still work.
To me while I really like the Lock Screen/Wallpaper/Widget additions, the real upgrade of IOS 16 is the speed improvements of safari, music, podcasts, app downloads etc. The speed difference is clearly more than placebo/subjective!
The noticeable speediness (while not without understandable first-beta hiccups) across system apps just might be my most-favorite quality-of-life improvement of iOS 16. I hope it persists, maybe even improves, throughout the testing period and past the initial public release.

you dont need to be a developer to have a Apple dev account you know. you can be anything, its just a subscription you pay for early access by the way.

I don't have optimized charging enabled and haven't had it enabled for months. I've also tried turning it on and off, but the issue persists.
