Possibly a dumb question but how do I restore to iOS 15? I know the process and have downloaded the file from ipsw.me but itunes just hangs when I plug my phone in.

I am not a developer, even so I have the ipsw. I also have windows, and as I told you, 3utools gives an authorization error from apple to install the update, and itunes tells me that I need a newer version, which does not exist today. I suppose that those of you who are developers will have all the necessary tools to install it, but what we are not, today there is no way to update with ipsw in a traditional way. I guess that until the public beta comes out, apple will not start signing ios 16 to install it in a traditional way.
yeah with windows you have to use the beta profile and install ota

But signing out of iCloud, restarting, and then signing back in means your wallet is emptied and you will also have to setup Face ID again with each app that is currently setup for this. Or am I completely off base here?
have not had to do anything regarding faceID. you do have to set up your cards in wallet again but all your cards are saved so you only need the security code and to verify.

You can't install via IPSW on Windows until public release comes out late September, when an update to iTunes comes out too.

This is because Developers will be using MacOS to develop (via Xcode), therefore only Mac users can install via IPSW.

It’s truly amazing. I’ve been thinking for years that obviously interrogative sentences (generally those beginning with who, what, when, why, how or did/does) could have a question mark automatically inserted at the end. This does better than that, inserting periods at obvious full stops (thinking of you, @StumpyBloke!) I haven’t tried commas.

If this really works well, I’ll have to retrain myself not to say punctuation, which I have found myself doing even when leaving voicemail messages. 🫢

It would be good if they have finally fixed the (UK only bug) automatically inserting a new paragraph after saying ‘full stop’ but I doubt it

oh I see what you mean. yeah cant talk about it then, Macrumors rules.
You can get banned or lose your membership. 👍🏼

you dont need to be a developer to have a Apple dev account you know. you can be anything, its just a subscription you pay for early access by the way.
I hope that with the public beta there will be the possibility of installing with ipsw 🤞🏻

There hasn’t been a requirement to pay for a developer account to get the betas for over two years now.
The free account is enough.

if you want early access to iOS beta's there is... which is what this thread is all about.

yes you can create a free developer account, but you don't have the access to the things we've been discussing on here.

I use CarPlay every day across multiple vehicles and have not experienced any of those issues. My only issue was in a late model Audi A4 rental I had for a couple of days where during routing, my position was freezing up. It only happened in the last hour or so of one route and didn't happen on earlier routes in the day or during my routing the following day. CarPlay in my 2019 VW and Android model in my 2009 Audi has worked flawlessy (Maps and Apple Music.....Apple Music was fine during the long drives in the rental Audi as well)

I just did it. My Face ID apps still work. But all my cards (and I had a lot) where removed both from the Watch and the iPhone. It has been a chore adding them again.

Carrier version updated to 50.7.3 on giifgaff
