Anyone had an issue where Safari automatically scrolls down to the bottom of the page on Google search results? It keeps happening each time I go a Google search and is super annoying. The moment I search for something after the results page loads it jumps down to the bottom of the page.

I have it on some websites that have a comment section below. I click on one of the threads and it will jump all the way down to the footer of the page and i have to scroll back up to get to the actual comment section

I posted this over at the Lock Screen thread but thought it worth sharing here (as many of you may not go there): check out how they fade in the sky in this photo I use on my lock screen (my photo, taken in 2019 in Bermuda). This is immediately after I tap the screen to wake the phone. Edited out the tap to avoid cuticle harrassment.

Just tested, not seeing that. Searching from url bar?
It seems to be triggered by this pop up that loads each time I load a search query

Yep, I’m seeing the same thing happening when searching from the address bar, though I honestly never noticed until just now.

I’ve also noticed that it only seems to happen once in some indeterminate time period. When I ran my test search from the address bar, I closed the offending box, then I closed the tab and tried another address bar search and the pop up did not come up again. I also tried closing the tab and fully closing Safari then reopening and making another address bar search and the box did not reappear within that few minute span.

After this, I visited Google and right on the main page I got a pop up at the bottom in a similar style telling me I should download Chrome. I closed it out then made a search directly in the search bar, and didn’t get any pop up on the results page which then remained at the top.

Glad I’m not the only one, lol! Hopefully it goes away in the next few Betas.

Totally minor but this has already been annoying me on iOS 15 and it is still present. See how the „close button“ for tabs in Safari is covered at the bottom and that’s an iPhone 12 Pro Max screen. I wonder what it looks like on a regular sized Pro, let alone the Mini?

Heh…looks normal on my 13 mini running developer beta 3 😅

13 Pro Max and iPad Pro 11
Teams - Kingdom of Heckfire

Both the result of some change in the apps Friday / Saturday - both apps no longer working. They fail mid launch.

Update:
A new version was pushed out today by both apps and they appear to be working again.

You have to click the photos icon on the HomeScreen settings page when customizing the lockscreen. After you hit “done” on the lockscreen.
You absolutely can not, however, have a photo on lock screen and an Apple-supplied wallpaper on Home screen (which is what I always want). 100% impossible. The other way around is possible.

Make a suggestion on the Feedback app. Also it may come in later betas anyway as they get this better developed. David Sparks (MacSparky) indicated in a video this week that he thought that was a decent possibility.

Yes, I already did file a feedback. The UI for this needs reworking. This is the sort of thing that does get fixed during the beta period.

Yes you can. Go into Settings > Wallpaper.

I just set my lockscreen to the Astronomy Earth wallpaper, and my Home Screen is entirely different, a photo I chose myself.

Well I read your post wrong, but it is still possible. On the lockscreen, select “add new wallpaper” and then it should allow you. I just did it the opposite way as well.

Hmm, looks dead around here. Must be because Pearsey went on VC....

HEEEEEESSSSS BACK!

Run and hide you OTA’ers, run and hide.

Total lols.
I do love the OTA process, if it was 99.9% reliable and not cause more problems than it’s worth.

One day I’ll convert and all these IPSW files will start to collect dust somewhere but, the stories will still be told how one brave fruit, I mean man, went up against Apple to fight for what was right, and got no bloody help and is still in the same place as he was months ago 😆😂

since last night the weather app is again running in the background without control. for weeks it has been quiet, now suddenly it runs again without control. I don't understand what's wrong xD

Using iOS 16 public beta. Trying to do anything on the phone while on a FaceTime video call is a nightmare for me. Granted I'm doing this on an iPhone 8 which is old, but still.

I was able to use any non-intensive app without a thought when I was video calling on iOS 15. Sending texts, browsing safari, etc. Now the phone turns into a hot plate and it takes upwards of 4-5 seconds to register single taps.

It doesn't. It changes both on my 11 Pro.

Yes, you cannot pick a wallpaper from the Apple Wallpaper Gallery for your home screen only. You can only pick a photo from your own photos. You also cannot add the blur effect. Hopefully they are adding it in one of the upcoming betas.

The whole set up is very confusing at this stage
