Now on beta 8 but each time I hard reset or even a normal reboot I get a notification badge on the phone app, then goes away after a few seconds. Now reported. Been happening I think since beta 7.
I'll say it's registering a voicemail for a sec and then goes away

Uh…it it me, or does long pressing the “+” in the Safari tab view no longer open the list of recently viewed tabs?

iPhone 13 mini.

EDIT: Seems to be working again…lost of all my recently viewed tabs but oh well.

Nice surprise the week before the RC.

Are we not having an iPadOS 16.1 B1 thread since that’s clearly separate now? Maybe when Beta 2 comes out, which I guess might be next week.
Beta 2 will probably drop when iOS 16 public comes out. I believe 15.1 dropped the day after public release last year. My guess is that iPhone will go straight to beta 2 to get them back in-sync.

I concur. Sound logic using previous track record.

Haven't touched any of the previous iOS 16 betas until this one. No issues at all, liking the new Lock Screen.

Just because the apple event is next week, doesn't mean that iOS 16 goes live to the public that same day. They very well could have another RC build after this. Not trying to speculate but it is not uncommon for iOS major release dates to not align on the same day as hardware unveils.
It's okay, because for us techy people, RC is public release.

I don't recall the public release of iOS ever being available to the masses on the day of the event... it's almost always the following Friday - which this year will be Sep 9. The RC is typically available shortly after the event ends.

The UI in this beta seems snappier and has smoother transitions on my 13PM

Was waiting for this one. No idea why it was even implemented in the first place.

I know where I am iPhone, you do not need to precisely geo-locate me on my own lock screen 😆
What if I find myself on a desert island and I cant find my phone but there is someone else’s phone nearby that I can’t unlock? In this case, with a green dot, I will know exactly where I am :)

Same cr*p. Screen captures still go to different places. Can’t decide what band it wants to be on LTE or 5G. Hoping this is not the RC but I have a bad feeling it is.

EDIT. Wi-Fi now won’t stay on. Resetting network settings again. Don’t understand nothing changed on the last two betas for modems or carrier settings….

I was gonna say, we’ve got to be due a firmware update soon surely to deal with some of this stuff.

This beta fix the weather temperature gap in comparison to iOS 15 and other eather channels. Its now on par with iOS 15 for predictions as well.

This build feels like a RC candidate now.
in the IOS 16 weather app unfortunately rain(precipitation) icons are still not visual in the hourly forecast , the data is there when viewing the chart but icons in the hourly output for precipitation do not show and haven’t since the first beta of this IOS 16.
