Uh…it it me, or does long pressing the “+” in the Safari tab view no longer open the list of recently viewed tabs?

iPhone 13 mini.

EDIT: Seems to be working again…lost of all my recently viewed tabs but oh well.
Never even knew that was a thing!!!! Cheers!

I might be on my Jack Jones here, but I quite like it and certainly have no problem with it.

that's quite the turn of phrase 😆

I wouldn't have minded it if it was a bit more subtle. That green is fairly bright and the dot itself is quick thick. The alternative is so much cleaner to me. It goes from feeling almost like Google Maps navigation to a serene, outer-space scene captured on your Lock Screen.

The main thing though, which I mentioned earlier in this thread, is that its functionally unnecessary. I am already fully aware of where I am, I don't need my own iPhone to geo-locate me on my own lock screen lol.

Personally never had any modem, carrier or wifi issues with iPhones all the way back to the iPhone 3G days but I understand that there are so many different set ups
my iphone 13 pro manages the 4g+ bands poorly, because it insists on staying connected on a band with a low signal strength instead of moving to another one that has a better signal. for example, band 3 indoors has a poor signal, and band 20 has a very good signal. Well, indoors it is still connected to 3, instead of going to 20, and I have 1 or 2 lines of coverage, when with 20 I have full coverage.
I've talked to both apple and the carrier to see if they can fix it, but neither seem interested in doing so.

Now that you mention it, I did have issues when I was in Poland the other day. It was close to the border of Germany (where I live) so it kept trying to stay on German service, even though I would have full LTE bars with a polish provider instead and vice versa. Had to deactivate „automatically connect“ to pick a polish network instead. Didn’t have that issue with my Galaxy from work

Just because the apple event is next week, doesn't mean that iOS 16 goes live to the public that same day. They very well could have another RC build after this. Not trying to speculate but it is not uncommon for iOS major release dates to not align on the same day as hardware unveils.

Not only is it “not uncommon”, it is 100% the case. As far as I know, Apple has never released the public version of a major OS update on the same day as it reveals the new hardware it will be part of.

I concur. 👍🏼

On a side note. Dual sim battery mode standby drain has been amazing. No loss in many hours.

The last 2 beta’s weren’t too bad for me, but after updating to this one Hey Siri didn’t work and my AirPods wouldn’t connect. I had to go through the Hey Siri setup and forget the AirPods and pair them again. All seems well now.

Same. Battery drain has been significantly reduced and only getting better for me with every Beta!

The absolute worst was Beta 2 when it just plummeted, compared to a far more balanced Beta 1, but thankfully it's been gradually nursed back to health with every update. Though, it still isn't as good as the version of iOS 15 I was using right before 16 Public Beta 1.

Here's hoping we get back to optimal battery life by 16.1 or 16.2. Not expecting it to reach that sort of refinement right on release day.

Anyone having issues with the Starbucks app? Won't let me log in...
Yes, I haven't been able to log in for about a week. I get a message saying my username or password is incorrect. I have been having to order using the website.

I haven't seen widespread reports of issues, so perhaps it's affecting some on iOS 16.

Weird, I think the last beta bricked my phone, so I had to do a complete restore. Same issue, can login fine with the site, but not the app. Can't even register for a new account.
