I'm not sure "using something uses battery" is a bug. I think it's more of a warning.

And I think it’s getting out in front of people alleging that this feature disproportionately drains the battery.

Anything that causes physical motion (vibrating the Taptic Engine, powering speakers, etc) is going to use disproportionately more power than someone that just moves electrons around.

You cant have iPhone original background wallpapers on homescreen and a photo from library on lock screen?

You can but it is not straightforward to add it.

How do you add a Wallpaper from the Apple Wallpaper gallery to the Home Screen only? There is no button, you can only add a photo from your own gallery or apply a new lockscreen and pick "apply for both" but there is no way to add a apple Home Screen wallpaper on its own.

Oh drat, I misread - that's dumb.

What happens if you go to Wallpaper within Settings - can't you add it there (under the lock screen and home screen image, there is an option to 'Add Wallpaper') ?

I am noticing a new bug on my 14 Pro Max on 16.0.1, don’t know if this is known or if this affects any other phones/firmwares as I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere

I am getting extreme flickering when taking high framerate “slo-mo” video on the ultrawide camera at 240fps

I am not talking about flickering of LEDs or other light sources like you sometimes see in high framerate video - I mean the entire image and all contents in the frame are flickering. And this is specifically only happening on the ultrawide camera.

Exactly. Really weird.

When setting the lockscreen, instead of choosing 'set as both', there is an option to 'Customise Home' whereby you can set an independent homescreen wallpaper (but perhaps this only allows you to set one from your own albums and not the Apple ones).

Yes noticed that. Cant pick one from "Apples own wallpapers".

MR front page is your friend….

I did, I see no change or difference . Most of it was on beta 1. That’s why I asked here.

Anyways, I notice new bug on Bank of America apps, when I open the apps and it crashes every time I open the apps.. never had this problem on beta 1

You should check the forum thread for that article (at the bottom of the article) as people post in there about bits, as well as the thread @gwhizkids posted.

The only bug I've noticed in iOS 16, and nobody will care as it's minor;

Settings > General > iPhone Storage

The "last used" date for each app is not updating.

This one is definitely a bug.......

Lets say you have an automated Focus mode set to a specific time (so lets say a 'Work' Focus comes on at 9am and goes off at 4pm).

If during this time, you are on your phone and fiddling in the Settings and change the Focus to a different Focus and then a minute later, you switch it back to the 'Work' Focus, it then 'breaks' the automation in that the 'Work' Focus will now NOT turn off at 4pm.

Also - on the Lockscreen, I have my Activity Ring as one of the widgets, however, the status of these rings do not actually show unless I look at my phone and unlock it (if I tap the screen when it is locked, the rings are empty but if I actually unlock the screen, the rings show the current status).

Is this normal ?

Seems to be, it's the same on mine. It seems it's because of privacy as it's part of health. Not defending their decision, just my guess as to why it doesn't update until it's unlocked.
