That was a power run for the 6S.
Its the Iphone SE 1gen (2016) They drop the support for.Wish they would say the date/year of the iPhone SE.....I cant remember how many variations they have had. would suck if my son's SE from last spring is off
Which phone?Long past the time most will ever have them, My mother has a 10 year old andoid phone that still get security updates
Yeah, they did the A10 dirty. Honestly the A9 too since the 5th gen iPad gets support.it's kinda weird to me that the 7 & 7 Plus are getting dropped when the iPad Pro 1st gen & iPad 5th gen are still supported
All iPad Pro models are supported.Could this impact the first gen iPad pro?
The oldest Samsung J series came out in 2015. Latest support officially is Lollipop and the latest release for that came out in July of 2016. Unofficially, it will support Nougat and the latest released for that was October of 2019.Samsung Galaxy J3 V
And it is going to have a place in my hand for 2 more years most likelyWell, thanks for all the good times 7+ You will always have a place in my heart
I'd be going from a 7 to a XS Max. However, I'd likely be looking at maybe 2 or 3 years of OS support. If push came to shove, I guess I could get the 2022 SE, but I'd have to get the 128 GB version at $479.It is up to you. But I don’t think $800ish iPhone 12 or 13 offers any compelling upgrade from me.
Heck, I am rocking iPhone XS Max and $100 dollars Pixel 2XL with me and it is more than enough for me.
That (the Series 3) is the most un-Apple thing I've seen in over 10 years. Leading up to iOS 7, they still sold the 4th Gen iPod Touch which was stuck on iOS 6.Yeah, they did the A10 dirty. Honestly the A9 too since the 5th gen iPad gets support.
Don't get me started on series 3 Apple Watch. They still sell that...

I’d say go for it depending on the need. $700+ is a lot of money after all.Well, let me ask this. My best friend gave me his XS Max with 256 GB storage, but the screen is cracked.
Its $330 at Apple. Would you rather I drop $700+ for a new 256 GB iPhone, or pay the $330 for the XS Max?
Fixing the screen? I'm absolutely leaning that way. I have to replace my iPad and watch now too. I was hoping I could at least hold on to the 7 for one more year, but it wasn't meant to be.I’d say go for it depending on the need. $700+ is a lot of money after all.
Even just for holding a few months longer would be beneficial I’d argue, now that you mention you need to replace more things down the line.Fixing the screen? I'm absolutely leaning that way. What exactly happens to a phone once Apple stops supporting it with software updates?
As long as they continue to provide security updates, will all the existing apps continue working as usual for years to come?? Will it essentially be the same phone as always just with the fact that we're missing out on the latest OS version?
If so, I can totally live with that.
