I know but being this is the speculation, I have heard other people on youtube say that maybe but its a big maybe, haha.

yeah totally, wasn't shutting you down by the way or saying that might not happen, just was taking the emphasis away from the importance of the ' ' build letter.

From what we've seen this year, nothing is what we think it is or going to be.

@Pearsey are you always on beta builds ? And do you somtimes take a break from the beta ?

😆 been doing the betas since iOS 12, but wasn’t around on here much. The communities changed over years and it’s a more sociable place whilst in the thick of beta geeking out, which pulled me in more during the end of 13 - 14. Now it’s more like a hobby helping out where I can, and making light with my British sarcastic humour, where I can.

I last a few days on an official build then .1 or .2 beta 1 comes out and you just can’t help it. 😬🙄

All on my main device of course. 😆😂.
But only because I back up and archive every iOS instal during a cycle then delete, and the holding option key saves you so many times, so pretty confident if anything should happen or apps don’t work, it’s all pretty smooth backwards.

🍐🤓

Does Ios 16.1 have to come out the same day as Ipados 16.1? If that is the case the IpadOS is coming out the 24th

They will almost certainly both launch the same day (and likely Ventura also for the Mac). Gurman says that iPadOS 16.1 will come the 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘰𝘧 10/24 not 𝘰𝘯 10/24. So conceivably the RC could come late next week (perhaps after even one more beta) followed by the public release later the next week. I could see the public release happening on Friday October 28th, to coincide with the beginning of the World Series here in the US. Just a guess on that one.

So timing 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 look like this:

10/18: Beta 6 (and equivalent iPadOS beta)

10/20: product press releases together with RC of both iOS and iPadOS

10/28: Products delivered / available at stores + iOS/iPadOS/MacOS public releases with Live Activities

No Beta 6.
RC 18.10.
PR 26.10.

I want the damn pixels they blacked out on purpose back. The "i" looks better anyway. When DI is activated, simply black them out for the animation.

If new devices are expected to be announced that would most likely be running 16.1, I'd assume this week's release is still labeled as a "beta" and not an 'RC" due to there might still be some references to said devices in code that they don't want out in the wild. If devices are speculated to be announced next week, maybe even with a release/availability of NEXT Friday the 28th, I'd say we maybe get the RC next week and still yet another beta this week, probably tomorrow.

I think this is exactly right and in line with my hypothesis above.
