Very strange nearly 3 weeks for a point release beta, and with 16.1.2 public yesterday the 16.2 update won’t be out for at least 2 weeks so kinda strange now

I agree I'm starting to believe 16.2 will be the 19th the week before christmas. It would be strange to release 16.1.2 and only have it for 11 days

I believe it was more of a security/performance update. Any iOS software being released is always good. I rather take that then have no updates.

Plus most users are not on Macrumors and won’t get 16.2 for a while. It’s not like here where on certain days at a certain time everyone is frantically pushing “check for update” over and over and rebooting and uninstalling/reinstalling the profile and……… 😂

Yeah, to give you an idea... My mom sometimes texts me asking if it's okay to install an update. This stems back from when updates could cause problems.

Last time she asked me about an update, it was one that had come out three weeks before she texted me. So it took three weeks for the OS to notify her an update was pending. That's a freaking long time! The OS does not prioritize updates on its own.
