Looks like Apple is inviting a ton of well-known media and podcaster types to the Keynote/State of the Union. Makes me think that they have something big planned. It may be the Mac Pro (which would be worthy of coverage but has been well-telegraphed to date) or it could be a preview of RealityOS. I think both will happen, but that the latter is the reason for all the invites. They want people to go hands-on with something.

As always, Apple users have high expectations of iOS 16. In a few days from now, the company will preview...9to5mac.com
@MozMan68, this is what i'm talking about.
Needs a button on the right for activating low power mode and then it will match the banner for phone calls and unlock Apple Watch better.
And if you go back and look at Apple's history of filings, you'll see they know exactly how to manipulate those dates so they work in their favor regarding secrecy and product launches. They prefer not to have them leak months in advance to prevent tipping their hat on a keyword that can be looked for by leakers.

Regardless, given how far behind Apple has been on everything for the last 2 years, I seriously doubt we'll get anything except maybe a sneak peak at realityOS. The timing of the filing and the board getting a demo certainly hints a public announcement, but if anything it will be more like their Apple Silicon announcement at WWDC.
I do agree with this. Probably same for the Mac Pro. And that’s fine: this is a software development conference.

The best part is I'm selling my house for more than twice what I built it for and don;t have anew house yet (in a completely different part of the country with lower prices)....so moving in with the out-laws until something pops up. I will not download the beta until September but I can’t wait to see what’s new. And I hope we will also see new features on the current phones and pads.
I wonder when we get our beloved iOS 16 board, looking forward to never returning to the iOS 15 board again.

The MR staff usually creates the board about halfway through the keynote or thereabouts, if I recall correctly
Honestly if what’s been reported as leaks about iOS 16 I’m not that crazy for it. Nothing has stopped me in my tracks or I’ve got excited for.
Gutted there’s no UI Design tweaks on the icons. Really wanted a new feel to my iPhone. Needs Updating. Feels dated when you look around at other phones.

I'm hoping all the stock icons get updated. A new refreshment would be nice and a good change. The current icons on macOS Big Sur looks amazing. Hopefully it's the same with iOS 16. I'm going to be upset and disappointed if there's no actual design changes 😡
