If it was 50/50 today or tomorrow earlier, can it still be 50/50 tomorrow or Thursday? 🤔
Dang! That’s a very good question to ask 😂 I honestly don’t know how to answer your question. Any beta speculation lover would like to chime in? 🤨

I think we're getting a new beta this week. That's all it should matter? 🧐

I hope with the release of 16.4 betas they’ll update on the availability of the Apple Pay Later, and Apple Card Savings features. They’ve been a little too quiet on those.

Prob next week with the fact I think 16.4 won't be released until mid to late March
I have a strong feeling it will be tomorrow. Last year iOS 15.4 Beta 1 was released on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Fingers crossed Apple follows the same pattern this year.

That would be Friday

A year ago, iOS 15.3 was released on Wednesday, January 26. iOS 15.4 b1 was released the following day, a Thursday, January 27.

My hypothesis is that the release of the new Macs and HomePod earlier this week accelerated when 16.3 would ordinarily have been released - today. I think therefore that iOS 16.4b1 will be released tomorrow to stick with a Thursday release.

At this point, they are working backwards from WWDC and the release of iOS 17.0b1 (and effectively ending the iOS 16 beta program). So it stands to reason that they would release the next beta in the same relative position to the WWDC keynote date as they did last year to stay on the same cadence.

16.4 should be a fairly significant update. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them release 2 service pack type updates in a row. The one caveat to my thinking is the impact the looming rOS release is having on internal developer resources. With that, it is indeed possible that 16.4 will be a minimal update (though not quite as bare bones as 16.3).

Samsung came closer to Apple in terms of software stability each year. As Apple regressed, Samsung’s updates became more mature and reached users faster than ever. I don’t understand how Apple has become this bad at updates. iOS 16.3 and WatchOS 9.3 are still buggy. We are halfway to iOS 17.

Please provide a list of these major bugs you are concerned about, along with the number of users affected.

I’ll wait.
