Please provide a list of these major bugs you are concerned about, along with the number of users affected.

I’ll wait.
WatchOS 9 had a sleep mode bug which was resolved 2 days ago with WatchOS 9.3.

I am having a flickering screen issue as in the link. There are some users in Reddit who are also experiencing the issue.

These are the two major issues I am having and had on WatchOS. I also had “sound level measurement suspended” issue, lags when receiving a notification but these were too minor compared to the first two issues.

iOS 16.3 is better than WatchOS 9.3 at the moment I think. I have had several freezes and restarts of iPhone 11 on the previous iOS 16 releases. Also I an having a lot of bugs like screen orientation problem while using WhatsApp but it might be related to the app.

For me, sleep mode tracking continues to work exactly the same as before. one night a week, he goes offline just because he wants to. Last night with the new version it was deactivated only during the night.

Nearly everything you’ve listed in your post is anecdotal, applies to you (and possibly you alone), or applies to “some people on Reddit“. From this, you draw the general conclusion that Samsung‘s software is more stable than Apple’s.

Although that may be true, it is no way proven via your at best anecdotal accounts.

Samsung came closer to Apple in terms of software stability each year. As Apple regressed, Samsung’s updates became more mature and reached users faster than ever. I don’t understand how Apple has become this bad at updates. iOS 16.3 and WatchOS 9.3 are still buggy. We are halfway to iOS 17.

I can’t speak for anything other than my own phones, I have a 2020 Galaxy S20fe, and it’s been very stable but has a few quirks I think are more related to ram than software.

I’d be curious to try out one of the Android flagships to see how they compare, as the added ram I believe makes a lot of difference on Android. I’m not a fan of some of the changes Samsung has made to the software over the past couple of years, so I’d probably go for a Pixel in the future. Stock Android and all, that incredible phone app that’s light years ahead of the iPhone, and that camera!

The Galaxy I have overall is pretty bug free, the only problem areas are the camera app can be very slow which can make you miss shots. The bad thing is that it hasn’t had any updates at all since last August! Zero security patches, and still no Android 13, between that and Samsung absolutely ruining the awesome Android notifications I’d probably not get another Samsung.

Please remind me how this is relevant to iOS speculation. One of us has lost the plot.

I was responding to someone’s post, you don’t have to read it, the fact that you took the time to reply and post about something you’re not interested in is weird.

And believe it or not, Apples biggest competitor is relevant, otherwise Macrumors wouldn’t post every little thing Samsung does.

Whatever. Still irrelevant to this forum. Android?, Samsung?. Might as well be talking about the Stanley Cup.

Good morning! Happy Thursday,

A New Day means a New Opportunity. 95% sure iOS 16.4 Beta 1 is heading toward us today. My fingers will be crossed. Positive vibes only today! Let's get it!

Good God on a tricycle, be miserable for just one day, be bloody miserable like the rest of us

Tim don’t lie, next week at the earliest.

I was hoping it would come out this week, and that with the holidays 16.3 didn’t get the attention it needed and all the big bug fixes will come with 16.4, whenever they release it.

Still have 20 more minutes left. I hope we get something today. Don't really feel like waiting till next week. Come on Apple!

Give Apples dev a break, I can only imagine the pressure and stress of having to come up with new stuff and fix bugs for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS all by myself! 😳

Well, iOS 16.4 is going to be a significant update. It should also be released with Apple Spring Event in March. I also have a feeling Apple is focused more on iOS 17 now.

I think they are most preoccupied with RealityOS.

Still could happen later today. Not likely tomorrow. If not today, I’d say Monday.
