Let's say a prayer...

It was was crazy Tuesday yesterday as two storm eyes converged over Apple in the South Bay.

High winds whipped across the Bay Area, with the highest recorded wind speeds of 88 mph in Richmond in Contra Costa County, according to the Bay Area National Weather Service. Other strong recorded winds include: 82 mph at Los Gatos, 81 mph at Loma Prieta, 77 mph at Pier 1 in San Francisco and 74 mph at the Oakland Airport.

Sea level air pressure over the San Francisco International Airport was 984.4 millibars Tuesday afternoon, breaking a previous March record, set in 1942, of 990.2 millibars, Bliss said. The all-time record over SFO is 976.6 millibars, set Jan. 27, 1916,

Some crazy numbers, I’ve been watching it the last few days, looked like a hurricane was spinning over the Bay Area.

Has anyone checked to see if the spaceship is still there? IMG_7780.jpeg

I would love if they actually focus on outstanding bugs with 16.5. Some of these bugs still being here after so long is quite frankly ridiculous. Notification and UI bugs being the most mind-boggling.

And a lot of those bugs will carry over into 17, where they’ll be warmly greeted by a whole new family of bugs, some of which will still be around in iOS 18 and beyond.

There is no new information here. I didn’t do any research to specifically back up this claim. It’s just the way it’s always been and will always be. That people still act like there’s some final build nirvana is pretty hilarious.

Yes some people that wait for final previous OS release before upgrading. The problem is with all that waiting you can't assume 3rd party applications will be fully compatible, it means you still need to update afterwards so that updates recognize your new OS. Then's there's the OS changes you now learn about way after people have discuss issues. So besides making it harder on yourself, you now have to hunt for knowledge after it been discussed long ago. :p

WWDC 2023 announcement next week along with iOS 16.4 public release? Let's get it! 🔥🎇
I await newer versions of MacOS 14 which allow AV1 playback using Netflix and YouTube. Safari 16.4 shows that experimentally incorporated, but not allow this to be used yet. That and push metal 3 to offer some compatibility with Direct X 12 for VM. IPadOS 17 needs to allow better multitasking then side by side, even with stage manger not the best implementation as an alternative. tvOS and its ridiculous AppleTV app issues, and lack of better bitstream capabilities. iOS 17 and the App Store purchase limitations is much wished for improvements. We need more than the WWDC date, give us hope for once to satisfy our appetites. Then there’s the DTK finally for AR testing also might show up, that would be exciting if we can take the next step to show off that new marketplace.

I agree: it is time to start speculating about iOS 17 rather than the remaining cleanup iOS 16 releases.

New thread time, @MozMan68?

Here’s another wildcard that seems like something Apple would be looking at, just as the forced spatial speakers in macs could show up in smaller Apple devices.

In a separate tweet, Scoble wrote: “Here is my friend Jeff Stevens listening to them. He was a recording engineer and is the hardest audiophile I know. He and I were blown away. The headphones have way better sound than the new AirPod Pros. More accurate and better spatial audio.”

Hoping for the 16.4 official release on Monday, mainly because I want to get my HomePods onto 16.4 so handoff can work properly again.
