Usually after WWDC and the new shiny is out in beta, any beta updates to current release is more just a placeholder for any quick turnaround testing and "security & bug fixes". I think the new .point update also provides a new set of API's? Even if it's still iOS 16 as opposed to 17. I think there's still ability for them to back port fixes to a lesser .point update, and then utilize us as beta testers to confirm any issues get resolved.
