I asked the mods to pin the iOS 17 Speculation thread and they agreed. That should be where any ideas or speculation about iOS 17 features, release dates, etc.. should go. And on June 5th around 3pm ET, that thread will become the iOS 17 version of this thread.
✨ Very nice! Thank you very much for doing that. ❤️

...and holy cow...I made that comment not knowing that one had been started back at the end of February!

I started this one at the end of March last year since that is when the iOS 15 one had been started and got skewered by folks for starting too early. It's not like you get internet or Macrumor points for starting a thread that gets a ton of posts. Hah!

iOS 16.6 by June 20th?
Hmmm seems like just the requirement for latest betas to be in use by developers by that date. I could be wrong but that multiple phases wording seems to be implying continued testing.
  • May 26, 2023 - As part of ongoing efforts to improve security and privacy on Apple platforms, the App Store receipt signing intermediate certificate that’s used to verify the sale of apps and associated in‑app purchases is being updated to use the SHA‑256 cryptographic algorithm. This update will be completed in multiple phases and new apps and app updates may be impacted, depending on how they verify receipts.
  • June 20, 2023. Receipts in the sandbox environment will be signed with the SHA‑256 version of this certificate for devices running a minimum of iOS 16.6, iPadOS 16.6, tvOS 16.6, watchOS 9.6, or macOS Ventura 13.5.
Still you made this day more interesting!

The person that gave you sh*t about it being to early, clearly they were annoyed it wasn’t them, started the iOS 17 thread even earlier and apologised for it being early. What a joke!

And then they didn’t even pin the page and it was getting lost in all the drivel.

If you’re gonna do something to be the best, at least do it properly.

Even says “I know you want to be the first” 😆😂 priceless.

Boy…I thought that screen name looked familiar? Hah!

I honestly don’t know how you find time to work and comment on so many peoples posts across the whole of MacRumors, not just this thread and iOS so much in the recent months.
I am a light sleeper. ;)
These times are interesting, I am very much looking forward to WWDC 2023 this year more than previous years. Because it looks like we finally are approaching a time where Apple gets busy and investigates how we use devices more so then taking it for granted from a OS evolution perspective.

Cheers.

No post since saturday here? OMG, can't believe. Its monday, 1 min till beta 2? or maybe tomorrow?

🌟 Happy Tuesday ya'll,

Wow! Can't believe we're less than a week away from WWDC 2023. Time flies when you are having fun. We just have to get through this week. Next week will be very exciting.

I have a feeling we're getting something today.
Fingers are crossed!

Happy Memorial Day, everyone! Hopefully @TheYayAreaLiving 🎗️ and the rest of yas had a tasty burger, I know I sure did 🫡

Lettuce 🥬 see what this week brings….
I sure did. It was juicy and delicious! 🍔🍟

Today or Wednesday possibly, as it’s straight back after a holiday?

Also a thought over the weekend a banking app forum should be set up like last year, when iOS 17 comes out, so we can keep track of what does/doesn’t work as we go through the betas.

Always people asking every beta, does HSBC app work yet… then we can just share that pages link.

Yes! Something besides the standard "Apps that Work/Don't Work" page. Half the apps mentioned are banking apps from around the world.

Thinking there’s a 40% chance today and a 60% on Wednesday. Normally I’d go all in on the Wednesday after a holiday, but with WWDC looming, I’m sure they’d like to clear the decks. It’ll be this week for sure however.

Nothing on this beta next week. But 99% of us won’t care anymore.
