Stop Watch hasen't updated for the floating notch,..am I missing something or is this just in the US?
Mine is the same (Australia) on iPhone 15 Pro

I have apps installed from US and Japanese stores, just by signing out of one and into the other, and apps from both countries work. Though the last time I went to sign out of the US store it told me I couldn’t because I was currently subscribed to Music Match. I didn’t pursue this too much at the time but it may be a roadblock.
I can use my japanese apple id and get apps not available in the USA. And when I log out, and log back in with USA I'd, I can still use those apps.
It might depend on the app though. But I the ones I use, it works this way.
Thanks for the replies. I figured as much. You lose functionality of the specific data you had using the other AppleID. I am guessing this is because Apple (clearly) has to deal with so many geo specific laws etc (thinking EU) and keeping it separate makes it easier for Apple to comply.

So it may actually not be Apples fault even though it is frustrating.

My understanding was that you can’t have both AppleID's being used at the same time. My understanding is that you have to erase the other AppleID, and then you’ll lose the functionality of the apps installed if they are not available in your country.

Are you saying you can add an AppleID and use 2 stores?

I can use iPlayer via safari with a VPN, but naturally, I’d prefer the app.
I don’t lose any functionality when switching between my UK and my French ID. No wiping of the phone, all the apps stay the same and get updated (even if the app isn’t even on the other store). Even subs continue (but only for the period left after switching stores). You can’t have two Apple IDs set at the same time or have two stores at the same time.

That was the case but it’s not like that anymore. It doesn’t refuse point blank to change like before. It stops any subs you have but it doesn’t cancel what you have left.

wait, so none of the EU stuff made it to iPadOS?

There is reason for this nuance. Apple explains that the European Union ruled that iOS is a gatekeeper platform as part of the Digital Markets Act. This applies only to iOS on the iPhone. iPadOS on the iPad is a completely different platform in the eyes of Apple and the European Commission.

On the other hand, the Digital Markets Act designates the entirety of the App Store as a gatekeeper service. In the eyes of the European Commission, this includes the App Store across all of Apple’s platforms: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.

With that in mind, Apple has bifurcated these changes based on the requirements of the DMA. Changes coming to the App Store are coming to all of Apple’s platforms, while changes to the iPhone are coming only to the iPhone, even if iOS shares a lot of the same codebase as iPadOS."

that is so petty. then again, i'd expect people to defend apple , showing the deepness of their stockholm syndrom and the way the chose to solve their cognitive dissonance . fabulous, truly.

i really wanted blink instead of this crappy webkit engine . that's all i cared about . having a browser on my ipad. i dont even have an iphone

There is no reason to limit those charge cycle count things to iPhone 15 series.
The phone shall have that data because if the genius bar can see them, then it shall be available to us as well.
My thoughts too. I can plug my iPhone into my MacBook and read the same number, this is just another example of Apple making a small feature exclusive to make people buy the latest and greatest.

Exactly. Super slimey behavior. but I expect nothing less from Apple, or any other big tech company for that matter.
iOS and ipadOS are the same thing! they are splitting hairs to get away with more nonsense.

Ok, so the app store was major bone of contention. What were some iOS-specific EU changes that ipad users aren't getting?

I agree . It's not apple specific. They just happen to be the ones with , and actual enablers that allow them to pertain nay worsen the conditions of their offering (yeah, I'm pushing it but you get the idea) and have people clapping with their hands. It's incredible .
It would have been the same if it were google or any other company , I definitely agree. reminiscent of the synergy between dominus-subditus , sorta There's not rly such a thing as narcissist pervert. It's just ...manipulative and the one who accepts to be done so dirty haha

Stopwatch live activity is not available in the final version :(
This was the most attractive feature for me…

they now messed up this update because they removed all family emojis and they better do something about it
It's not a mistake. It's the anti-family agenda that big tech and media have been pushing for years.
That's why google "ai" won't defend the idea of having children, but is happy to give an essay on why no children is better. And why all the social apps promote all those Adults without kids "freedom" losers.

Can we set apple cash on Europe ?
I'm trying to find the option in apple wallet but no luck or im missing something ...

Well, don’t be. The only ‘significant’ change I’ve seen so far is when I tapped on Safari and was presented with a list of a bunch of some ‘useless’ apps to choose from. I say ‘useless’, because I like Safari and I’m not changing to any other browser.
SO it is useless to you, doesn’t mean it is useless to others :D

I’m Spanish and can’t change the Siri activation word. Is that feature coming with this version really?

Probably they don’t want people with 2 year old phones to realise en-masse that their batteries are all degraded and come in for service, lol.

As an aside, Stockholm Syndrome is a myth, the women never fell in love with their captors.
The real story is that they refused to comply with the orders of the prime minister and the psychologist on the outside during negotiations. This also includes refusing to get in a stretcher to walk out of the bank.

They were then criticised by those men, who made the whole thing up. Just pure misogyny really.

Anyways just thought I’d mention it.
