Start lobbying your elected representative if you want it in the U.S. Otherwise, yes, EU only.Really? Sideloading only for EU? How very apple.

33 days to go give or take 10 mins from this point in time.Apple is expected to announce iOS 17 during its WWDC 2023 keynote on June 5, which is just over a month away.
This should be a yawning release, but it should bring stability. Are that it, the supposed "headline" features are these? Erm, yawn. Very very yawn.
There is nothing called iPhoneOS.iPhoneOS 17 Coming Soon
Fixed that for you.for iPhones
If you want sideloading in the US, you will probably have to buy a phone sold in the EU, activated on an EU carrier, and have a EU carrier plan. What does "only in the EU mean"? Does the user physically have to be in the EU? Does it have to be an iPhone that is sold in the EU? Does it have to be activated the first time in the EU? How would Apple enforce those restrictions?
see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IOS_version_historyThere is nothing called iPhoneOS.
Yeah, I know; however, there is nothing called iPhoneOS 17 which is what they “corrected” the headline to read.see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IOS_version_history
But since iOS 4 Apple never referred it again as such.
There’s always CMD + Period. All I want is for that weird key in the top-left of the Magic Keyboard on the iPad to be able to be mapped to Esc
There is a forum user or two here that keeps calling it the old name on purpose. Go figure.Yeah, I know; however, there is nothing called iPhoneOS 17 which is what they “corrected” the headline to read.
My jam is pluralizing technology and placing “the” in front if it.There is a forum user or two here that keeps calling it the old name on purpose. Go figure.![]()
I strangely see x.1 and x.x.1 updates throughout the year that gives upgrades regularly for Apple apps throughout the year 🙄
Not quite once per year..
There’s always the key in the top left that no one I know has ever usedThere’s always CMD + Period.
The most interesting thing here is sideloading. Sounds like a boring update! Unless Apple reveals more stuff that is actually exciting then I'll just stay on iOS 16 until I feel it's worth upgrading. Yaaaaawn 🥱
Why ruin iOS for anyone not forced by law to suffer. The vast majority of users don’t care and don’t want it so why impose it on them.Really? Sideloading only for EU? How very apple.
