Gotta say Find My is an unappreciated feature!
I was at a friend's graduation ceremony a few days ago and got a phone alert that an AirPod was missing. Followed the map in Find My to the Bag Check area where it had fallen loose while my bag was being checked, and the security guard handed it over as soon as he saw me wandering around looking at the Find My map :)
Unappreciated? What do you mean? It's one of the most important features of iOS since the beginning.

Please dear god let “airplay upgrades” mean a Spotify connect type feature. That’s the one thing Spotify really holds over apple music. Let me control what’s playing on my iPad from my phone
I Thik now Air play 2 supports also Lossless (now ALAC became AAC).

Apologies in advance for being obvious and sounding grumpy.

Please just make AirPlay work! It’s temperamental at best. i have a Wi-Fi 6 router and new Apple TV. Just two nights ago I tried to AirPlay a few shorts videos from my MacBook to Apple TV. It would play maybe halfway through a 10 minute video then just hang. I could stop then start it and get another 30 seconds until it would just hang again. Videos played fine directly on the MacBook.

Around every point release I’ll give airplay another try just to see if the recent release improved things. Always disappointed.

Just like Walkie-Talkie on the Watch. Great idea. Poor implementation.

Just. Make. It. Work.

I use Find My and Wallet.

I often use Find My to locate my husband and see if he's arrived at a certain far destination. I also use Wallet all the time to look at various transactions I made my my Apple Card or other accounts. I also use it to display QR or barcode for various grocery store cards.
How do you get a qr code into the wallet app. I can only add credit and debit, and transit cards.

There are various free and paid apps that can do that, including: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pass2u-wallet-cards-coupons/id1142473931

Try searching on the web for something like: add card apple wallet

I think once you have added the "unsupported" card to the Apple Wallet, you don't have to keep the app that enabled that card to be added. But then again, why delete it when in the future you might come across another card you want to add?

Did it make sense to setup infrastructure for only a single mobile platform that doesn't even earn the most mobile dollars? No.
Getting really tired of people thinking sideloading has zero consequences ESPECIALLY when Epic was willing to give up millions of dollars per year in hopes of being able to force sideloading on all of their customers. Yeah...no...yeah...

Don't like not being able to sideload? Buy an Android. Simple. Not hard to follow your own advice. 😂

Google is just as money hungry as Apple, if sideloading was such a issue, then Google would block it.

But by far most people do not sideload, let’s keep that in mind.

And if not allowing to install all apps would cause a financial hit, then Apple would lock down MacOS on that regard.

And I don’t need to follow any advice, I am not going to use sideloading, just like I don’t use iCloud, Apple Music (the service, not the app) and Airdrop.

Yet I don’t complain about the latter 3 being on my iPhone, because it doesn’t stand in my way, even if I don’t use it.

Again people complain because they can do that about it, not because it will in fact hurt them or Apple.

It reminds me of the haydays of jailbreaking, same claims were made and look how that went.

If you want to believe you are right, be my guest, but don’t spread misinformation before it even happened.

Blocking it would make Android less compelling.

Then let's not even bother about sideloading.

And if not allowing to install all apps would cause a financial hit, then Apple would lock down MacOS on that regard.

macOS started off with sideload before App Store existed. You can't open the system, allow billion dollar software industry to flourish, then close it.

And I don’t need to follow any advice,

Then don't give it.

Until XYZ app you're using leaves the App Store and forces you to sideload.

Ambiguous

It reminds me of the haydays of jailbreaking, same claims were made and look how that went.

Not possible today. Luckily Adobe/Microsoft didn't go down jailbreaking path for sideload which would have drain millions of dollars away.

If you want to believe you are right, be my guest, but don’t spread misinformation before it even happened.

I have stated zero misinformation. You seem to be under the impression that zero devs will leave the App Store after sideloading is officially supported. Yet, Epic games intentionally screwed themselves over and was banking on forcing people to sideload on iOS after they goto court. There's proof right there but you're ignoring it.

Going to end it here. Clearly you're not going to change your mind so this is a waste of time. Have a good one.

I actually WANT AirPlay upgrade!
I want to be able to play a movie, song or mirror my Mac screen onto a SmartTV that has ATV+ or FireStick with ATV+. It makes NO sense why we're still restricted to using Apple TV branded hardware to do this. Ugh!

Genuinely curious... what movies are you streaming from the phone to Apple TV that Apple TV can't access already? Unless you had them in the photos app and not sync'd to iCloud.
Screen recordings from iOS/iPadOS, videos shared or downloaded to device from Twitter, WhatsApp, YouTube converted videos (and the like), or from Safari or other browser shown on a site. None of which are shared via iCloud or by choice NOT shared to iCloud.

Personally I don't enable Photos on my ATV4 ... I do not want pics therein no matter how benign to be accessed on my TV with guests over when I'm changing, in the shower, on the can or away from home (say an authorized Superintendent visit gets nosey).

As someone who needs to check in on where my older parents are, I use Find My all the time. I also have lots of AirTags in luggages and backpacks because we travel a lot, and we all use Find My to either locate them or to ensure they're safe.
LMAO ... you use FindMy to track your older parents based on the products they use?
Why not simply enable their iOS/iPadOS devices to share their location as primary devices and use the people find within (iMessage/ Maps etc)?

I mean if you have to find your older parents, would you not think they'd have problems remembering their products locations? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This! 100 times this!

I try and try with Apple Music but I can't get over not having that feature and end up back on Spotify

Im hoping they'll eventually turn wallet into a full-on money app, with your own budget and receipts kept forever, so you can see what you spent last week, last month, forever.
It's very limited in what it can show you at the moment

ahh okay that makes sense, like I said I was just curious as I don't find myself ever needing to airplay videos from iPhone to ATV so whenever I see that someone does it just sparks that curiosity.

I am the same way with photos though, I turn off the use of photos on my ATV for the exact same reason

Screen Mirroring is extremely dodgy. Many third party TVs (and most notably roku sticks) that supposedly support Airplay and screen mirroring would just show my MacBook or iPhone for 1 frame and cut out to the airplay settings menu. It's not even an issue with the wifi connection either, the router is directly next to the TV.

It seems like in iOS 17 they will tie up loose ends, hope they fix stuff like this.

Is iOS 17 the version that will remove the "Hey" from "Hey Siri" ? I Sure hope so.
