Did it make sense to setup infrastructure for only a single mobile platform that doesn't even earn the most mobile dollars? No.
Getting really tired of people thinking sideloading has zero consequences ESPECIALLY when Epic was willing to give up millions of dollars per year in hopes of being able to force sideloading on all of their customers. Yeah...no...yeah...
Don't like not being able to sideload? Buy an Android. Simple. Not hard to follow your own advice. 😂
Google is just as money hungry as Apple, if sideloading was such a issue, then Google would block it.
But by far most people do not sideload, let’s keep that in mind.
And if not allowing to install all apps would cause a financial hit, then Apple would lock down MacOS on that regard.
And I don’t need to follow any advice, I am not going to use sideloading, just like I don’t use iCloud, Apple Music (the service, not the app) and Airdrop.
Yet I don’t complain about the latter 3 being on my iPhone, because it doesn’t stand in my way, even if I don’t use it.
Again people complain because they can do that about it, not because it will in fact hurt them or Apple.
It reminds me of the haydays of jailbreaking, same claims were made and look how that went.
If you want to believe you are right, be my guest, but don’t spread misinformation before it even happened.
