Got a Mac?

Download the beta IPSW file and reinstall the iOS using finder. Won’t take longer than 15mins.

Just hold down option button when you click on “check for update” then it lets you manually select the IPSW file. Done.

No data is lost.
Tried it with my Mac, but says after selecting the ipsw and click install that the update is not available on the softwareupdateserver

What kind of iDevice is this? The recent 18.4b1 was unsigned for a few devices. I think the iPhone 12 and Pros?

Found a new setting in Mail that returns back to the inbox after deleting a messsge instead of automatically going to the next email.

This is huge for me, now I can probably ditch Airmail.

No, they do not need to be on the same version, but you may need to install/reinstall Xcode.
With 15.4 it worked, but after reinstalling I got the same problem with Siri like before. Things like set an alarm are working but I don’t get any feedback. So now I’m waiting for beta 2 😅

Youll need to install the mobiledevice.pkg from Xcode 16.3 > contents, resources folder.

Instructions on the first page of this thread under the iOS info.

Then your Mac can talk through finder at your phone.

Thanks for the the info, reinstalling worked but the problem exists like before.

Beta is running pretty good on my 16PM. Image Playground, rewriting , notifications and everything is working great in German for me. What doesn’t work at all atm is Siri. Reply is empty, with or without logged in ChatGPT account. After a restart it’s the same problem :(

I've had event alerts fail to work (iOS and MacOS both).

I created a new event and it worked, so I've deleted and re-added my existing event alerts as a test. I'll find out tomorrow if my "delete and recreate" works around the issue.

So far, the only events I've had in my calendar since the update are repeat ones, so it may be that only repeat events are impacted.

Oh that’s sad to hear, you got an 15 pro right? If I remember correctly?

My battery life on 15 PM is so far very good!

Only thing my banking app „norisbank“ does not work - closes itself after opening it (even reinstalling did not helped) , luckily I can use online banking over safari
I’m on a 15 Pro, correct :)

Looking forward to a more stabilised battery life over the next days. Overall it works, no huge issues so far.
Strange with the banking app, usually 18.4 shouldn’t change much in this regards compared to 18.3. Proabably a bad coincidence here. Let’s hope for an app update soon.

Have an issue with a couple of apps widgets.

For Outlook calendar, I uninstalled the app, reinstalled, then redid the calendar widget. It now appears to be working fine.

For Weawow weather, not only is the widget messed up, the app itself is too (see attached).

Everything else previously mentioned is a bug.

Anyone else having issues with priority notifications? I’ve had them stop a couple of times now. Turning the toggle off in notifications and back on fixes it, but it doesn’t seem to last.
