I was able to solve the problem with the writing tools.

My AdGuard (Ad-Blocker and DNS) blocked 2 required URLs for Apple Intelligence.

If anyone has problems with the feature, Apple has published a support document here, where all required URLs and ports for all Apple services are listed.

is there a way to modifiy the blocklist if I'm using native DNS method?

Adguard blocked a spotify url as well, causing Jam not to work but I'm unable to whitelist it on adguard

@pw5a29 I‘m using Adguard Home on my Raspberry. There I can modify the blocklist. I don‘t know if it is possible on other Adguard implementations.

@kecinzer With 18.4 Beta 1, you no longer need to change the language or region if you use the following languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese

EU user here. I want to try Apple Inteligence, but I don't want to switch all device language. This is still needed step?

you can go into the iCloud setting and remove Siri from iCloud synchronization.

With this setting, you can have different language for Siri depending on the device

Found a new setting in Mail that returns back to the inbox after deleting a messsge instead of automatically going to the next email.

This is huge for me, now I can probably ditch Airmail.

Thanks, that’s a huge and helpful find 👍🏾

I don’t think so. Which language do you use in your phone?
Think in general there is no more block because of any EU regularities. It’s just the question of your language is supported. If your phone runs with English language it should definitely work.

I constantly read this but I don’t think there’s ever been anything clearly indicating this or solid proof. I’ve had betas with battery life as good or better as released builds, as well as betas with crappy battery life.
Adding to what @Pearsey said, there is so much variation in what’s going on with YOUR device/battery and others… you have different apps/widgets/etc installed and running and sometimes those don’t behave well after a beta is installed/updated, whereas I won’t necessarily have the same apps/widgets/etc installed so my battery experience is going to be different. On top of that, how you have those settings known to drain battery (background app refresh comes to mind) can sometimes behave differently from one beta to the next.

Worrying/complaining about battery life mere hours after the install completes is madness.

All my devices runs in Czech language. I'm used to it. But Siri I use in English.

Is anyone experiencing a problem with data carrier activation on the Apple Watch? Since 18.4 beta 1, I can't add data plan ( tmobile ) to the watch, it keeps failing verification.

I have set both iPhone and Siri to German, but rewriting still not working - getting an error

Edit: strange changed nothing but now rewriting works as expected!
It all takes a bit of time until the models have been downloaded to the device.

Think both settings need to be the same.
Furthermore Czech is not yet supported. You most likely would need to change the device language also to English.

How does Apple Intelligence handle more than one language? Am I able to use AI in German and English at same time?

Example: does it automatically summarize incoming mails in German and English, no matter which language I set on my iPhone?

For mails it should definitely work. I also get some in German, others in English. Sitting in the mail app works.

I was very excited for this beta, as I live in Europe and I use 3 languages (English, Italian and German). I left my phone set to English as I always do, but at least now the new Apple Intelligence tools work in Italian and German as well, which is amazing. Including notification summaries which were previously also working in English only.

Everything is really stable and this beta works at least as well as 18.3.1 did on my 16 Pro Max. Battery life is also about the same.
