its rebooting now, and hoop they update the bluetooht sound vol. becasue that is way to soft compared to my other headset sony virtuose , whits has a dogde and can hook it up with a USB HUB plug and play and need to turn this even down to not harm my ears !

Is anyone’s selfie camera broken? It’s blurred no matter what I do. Other lenses are ok though the whole camera app is slow. And I guess my Face ID issues are related to that.

That’s a very bad bug indeed. A showstopper for users of Siri. I use Siri quite a lot so couldn’t risk losing it.
Will try to disable and enable everything but I don’t think it’s going to work. So waiting for Beta 2 is the way..

I updated via ipsw, we’ll see. My iPhone 16 PM has been so laggy on iOS 18.3 I swapped back to my 15 PM.
Hi, just want to ask if your iPhone 16 PM still experience screen flicker after hard restart. My Iphone 16 PM also doing this and this is my second IPhone with the same issue.

well. STILL no update on bluetooths .. still same sound with NO OPTION to slide the vol higher becasue when i connect the headset, the slide goose atones to max, whtis is not happening with my sony headset.

Resetting all the random things like network setting might help too. Lots of restarting after changes are made too. Report back if you get a solution.

I guess reinstalling as a last resort is available but it’s a bit of a time sucker to fix.

Ask Siri to speak louder when the Bluetooth is connected. That might fix this 🤷🏻

Sadly no solution yet. Disabling AI and restarting brings back the old Siri working, after enabling again and restarting same problem. Resetting network settings and lots of restarts , again no answer from Siri.

Luckily I have Siri on the watch and over the HomePods, so if nothing helps I will just wait for the next beta. No big dealbreaker for me atm.

Battery life is way better on my 15 Pro Max. Used to end the day with 28%. Ended today with 60%. No change too usage. Also, now playing in the Dynamic Island shows a Bluetooth icon where previous versions of iOS 18 it didn’t.

Same on my 16 pro. I ended with 50% and usually end with about 25%. I had to check that I hadn’t charged it during the day.

I’d just disable Ai in the meantime - at least you’d have old Siri. Good to have the option anyway.

Can someone test that after using iPhone Mirroring from the Mac, status bar padding stays the same? There is a bug currently for small screened iPhones (6.1 and 6.3 inch devices) that after using iPhone Mirroring status bar gets shrunk and padding changes. A reboot fixes it. I can replicate it consistently with my iPhone 16 Pro.

Reddit Link.

Guys, your battery is never going to be as good as an Official release build. There is so much more going on in betas with unfinished code, bugs and over processing being used it’s going to take a toll somewhere.

RC will be a good indicator of battery life. No point in worrying about it or moaning about it now - if it bothers you that much then betas aren’t for you.

I constantly read this but I don’t think there’s ever been anything clearly indicating this or solid proof. I’ve had betas with battery life as good or better as released builds, as well as betas with crappy battery life.

Exactly! Not only are people legit questioning the battery life of the 1st beta of a point update (and an 's' build??), but they're doing so roughly an hour after installing. I mean.. Every device is going to be different on a beta depending on the data being indexed and the apps installed. And even then, it could take a week or two before you start seeing accurate numbers about battery life.. People need to just get over it.

I had to setup Siri all over again with this build. Siri was turned off completely and it also didn’t auto connect to my CarPlay. Had to connect via Bluetooth.

Got a Mac?

Download the beta IPSW file and reinstall the iOS using finder. Won’t take longer than 15mins.

Just hold down option button when you click on “check for update” then it lets you manually select the IPSW file. Done.

No data is lost.

Battery life is terrible, but no surprise. First Beta, around 30 hrs after updating.
Chat GPT integration is pretty nice, also I like the new sorted overview in the mail app.
Genmoji and image playground is fun but not really needed.

👍 I’ve actually never seen a battery issue due to an iOS, beta, or otherwise. Certainly not any of the recent ones. The only significant battery issue I’ve experienced was due to a specific app. But I always wait 4 or 5 days to determine if I’m experiencing any such issue; between background processes and my focus on playing around with some new features or functions, battery life does decrease initially, as I would expect. But beyond those initial days, it returns to normal and may even be better. Now, on an Apple Watch, yes, I have seen major battery issues due to a software release, but almost never on a phone or iPad.

Oh that’s sad to hear, you got an 15 pro right? If I remember correctly?

My battery life on 15 PM is so far very good!

Only thing my banking app „norisbank“ does not work - closes itself after opening it (even reinstalling did not helped) , luckily I can use online banking over safari

My two devices are on the same 18.4 and telling a tab to close on another device does not work.
That’s disappointing but I think I’m going to go ahead with installing 18.4 on my phone. It will be nice to have some features finally working on both devices even if certain functions are still missing in action.

Absolutely, at least it is half working, which by Apple’s standards these days is a bloody miracle!
