You do understand that Samsung don’t actually make android so they generally need to wait for googles more or less final build & then Samsung has to put one UI on top & that takes time
You’re making excuses. And thus the argument you’re attempting to make fails
Where as Apple make both OS & hardware so that is why it’s easier to roll out updates to their devices on the same day.
So you acknowledge that Apple is superior in this way then compared to lost Android OEM.
Thank you for proving my point.
Samsung is actually closing the gap on Apple on multiple different levels from design to software support & price point
Design? You’re really reaching here.
Samsung has essentially had the same iterate design for their last few models both on s series, flip, folds and the a series.
The boxy look is ugly. But that is subjective.
Samsung features are half baked much like Apple intelligence but again subjective.
Price? Not really.
Directly from Samsung and apples websites
iPhone 16e- $599
Samsung 24 fe- 649.99
Now Samsung does have a discount
S24 for 699
iPhone 16-799
But you can offset that also with an iPhone 15 which is $699.99
But then the Samsung 24+ is more than the iPhone 16 plus and pro max
Also the Samsung s24 ultra is $1500 vs the iPhone 16 pro max at 1199
So no Samsung doesn’t beat Apple intelligence price lmao.
And when you look at the s25 lineup prices, Samsung matches Apple lmao
The 7 year update strategy is not designed for existing android customers it’s to appeal to Apple customers who want to switch to them because that is an additional appeal that removes people like yourself saying look at android you will be lucky to get any updates with it
It is designed for current Android users bc that is a major complaint for Android users.
Again long before I became the sassy bartender and future lawyer, I was a phone dealer. And unfortunately an Android fan.
I stayed on sites like macrumors but Android equivalent discussing this daily.
iOS users aren’t switching to Android bc they now have longer updates.
If you look up trends and stats there are more people switching from Android to iPhone because of apples reputation and image but also the ecosystem and accessories.
There are less people switching from iPhone to Android and those who are switching are essentially power users aka macrumors type who actually care about specific capabilities such as customization and OPEN. Not your everyday user.
Of course you would use a $1000 dollar device over a $500 one
A 2018 iPhone XS is not valued at $1000 in 2025 so that is a terrible take.
A 2018 iPhone XS is still better than most $500 androids today.
your talking software wise right now & the XS is not going to receive any OS major OS updates going forward then that shows your comment about software & how continued support is important to you that you would continue to use a device that no longer receives major OS updates.
You’re missing the point. It got 6-7 years of support.
Please show me what 2018 Android has gotten that.
Oh wait. You can’t.
No what you mean is people like yourself are not switching
Of course not. Bc we chose a superior Os.
Again that is good that going forward the iPhone 11 will get iOS 19 however it will miss out on features as it has done for iOS 18 according to apples on website it tells you that devices in the iPhone 12 won’t get these features & the same will happen with the iPhone 12 lineup on iOS 19
Of course it will miss out on features. My surface from 2020 has windows 11. Should I blame Microsoft bc I’m don’t have all the capabilities that a 2025 surface has to run copilot.
Please be so for real.
You can’t criticize a company for supporting their products bc they don’t bring every feature to older products.
So yes your correct that Apple support multiple iPhones with OS support but to get them to run smoothly on older devices they remove features from the OS & eventually get you to upgrade your device
I honestly wouldn’t have upgraded from my iPhone 15 if it wasn’t for the camera and phone being broken.
Apple is not making us upgrade. I upgrade bc I want to lmao.
I use an iPhone 13 as well for my work phone. I’d be fine using it.
Again it’s not difficult when android 16 launches in the fall it will go straight on pixel devices just like Apple does with IOS because it makes the OS & hardware
And pixel don’t make up the bulk of Android devices. Meaning the majority of androids will be waiting 6 months to a year and by then we will be on Android 17.
What’s the point of bragging about longer updates if you take forever to release them lmao.
Even windows phone as terrible as they were had a better update track record.
And because the other android OEM put their own skin on top of android then that’s why it takes longer to roll out updates now you obviously know this but are choosing to leave that out to make some kind of point to people who don’t actually know that
And that’s why the bulk of iOS users will never switch to Android.
I know why it takes too long to update. I’ve owned over 80 plus androids in my lifetime. I don’t need you to explain the process to me.
You can stop thing to justify android and defend it to me bc my stance is not going to change lol.
It’s an inferior platform and they’ve only now started actually caring about their older products and the clientele that still uses them because they know people aren’t upgrading as fast as they have before.
