Apple Intelligence now works in Norwegian, but it seems pretty pointless. I downloaded all the Apple Intelligence packages and logged in to my chat gtp plus account and asked Siri a simple question «when will Spotify lossless be available in Norway». Instead of an answer it started playing a song from Spotify called «I moved to Norway».🤦‍♂️

I don't know if it works in this beta, but a lot of the time you have to tell Siri to ask ChatGPT while saying your question if you don't want to get a Siri answer.

I wonder why the iPhone 17 series moden number is 2.XX instead of 1.XX; the modem number increases by 1 for every major iOS that's released. So on iOS 26 the 17 series modem should be 1.XX, and the 16 series 2.XX, etc, etc

C1X is a modified iPhone 16-era modem.

Live Translation has received significantly more available languages. I know for a fact Korean was not previously an option.

Japanese isn't working yet - not sure sure about the others. I downloaded Japanese (that's the only language I need) and it kept prompting me to download a language. 😒 So I downloaded Spanish, and that worked fine. So I deleted Spanish and Japanese, unpaired my AirPods Pro 3 and rebooted. Repaired the AirPods, and re-added Japanese. Live Translation seems to start, but then immediately ends. Tried switching my phone's region from Japan to U.S., etc ... still can't get it to work.

Until iOS 26 gives 9-10 hours of screen-on time like iOS 18 on my iPhone 11, I don't see any point in upgrading to 26.

Keyboard still comes “flying” in occasionally. Seems to be triggered when using dark mode and the tab bar is above something light.

Assistive Touch still won't go to sleep after taking a screenshot? It's been like this since iOS 26.0 beta 4 or so, and it doesn't look like they're going to fix it.

Mine does. I haven't had issues with that at all on my 14 Pro Max.

Changes and fixes that I have noticed so far on my 17 Pro Max…

1) App Library now has updated Liquid Glass with specular highlights
2) Fixed animation when the AirPlay view is invoked from Now Playing in Apple Music, Live Activities on the Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, or other similar source
3) Phone app keypad now uses Liquid Glass
4) When expanding a platter in the Control Center, the content inside of the platter (ie. Brightness or volume progress, Wifi/Cellular/Airplane Mode buttons) now animate properly where before there were minor visual issues
5) Apple Intelligence and Live Translation expand
6) You can now slide on the current song in the Tab Bar or full screen player views in Apple Music to change the song
7) For a song or album, Go to… actions have been condensed down into “Go To ->” that opens a sub menu
8) When viewing a contact in Phone or FaceTime, “Details” and “Voicemail” now use a proper slider. This change is not reflected everywhere (ie. Messages does not adapt this) for some reason
9) In Messages, the "+" button no longer expands out and up, rather it now expands just outward.
10) In Calendar, the "Calendars" dismiss view button now uses an "X" in the top leading as opposed to a checkmark in the top trailing edge
11) Photos Filter and View Options button now uses an ellipsis icon, rather than the filter icon
12) "Show Map" option in the menu with Filter and View Options
13) "Use as Ringtone" is no longer an option when sharing a photo using the Share Sheet
14) In Notes, the keyboard toolbar can be scrolled even when there's nothing else
15) In Games, the "Invite Friends" button no longer uses a green plus
16) In Maps, the Recents, Find Nearby, and other similar list views use a darker gray (almost certainly a bug)
17) In Settings, some toggles that would not use Liquid Glass now do
18) Home app uses Liquid Glass and light SF Symbol colors more liberally
19) Podcasts gets updated splash screen
20) Apple Books tab bar no longer shrinks when scrolled
21) Apple Vision Pro app now uses a 3D visual render of the device that animates as you scroll under the "Vision Pro" tab
22) Apple Vision Pro app now lets you configure AirPlay Receiver options in the "Vision Pro" tab
23) Under Tips in the Apple Vision Pro app, there's a new "What's new?" section that replaces "Essentials"
24) In jiggle mode, "-" buttons are significantly more blurred than before
25) Apps such as Health and Wallet now let you configure their widgets from the long press quick actions platter where they did not before

I'm certain there's more, but I didn't do a very deep dive as I'm short on time.

I don't understand your #8. What do you mean by "slider"?

Mine does. I haven't had issues with that at all on my 14 Pro Max.

This has been happening to me since they introduced visual search from screenshots. If I take a screenshot, the Assistive Touch disappears, returns without being transparent, and doesn't become transparent to the percentage I've set until you interact with it. I assume your model isn't compatible with Apple Intelligence and won't be affected by this bug.
And it's been like this since beta 4 or so of iOS 26.0 and Apple hasn't been able to fix it xD

Just updated to iOS 26.1 on both my iPhone 17 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max. After the update, macro shots taken with the 17PM cannot be edited, it prompts an error box saying “cannot load photo - there was an error loading this photo”. No such problem with the 15PM.
