Which icon redraw problem?

Never saw this as an issue.. upon reboot, each screen redraws icons as you go into it very quickly, then it's a wrap. Sure, this could be done beforehand by the OS.. but I wouldn't really call this a bug. I actually like to see it load up and populate, but yah.. I'm sure most would like it to just be ready before entering the home screen or folder

At this point we just gotta come to terms that they’ll never fix it.
My feeling is that they really wanted some features out there and accepted that some or all would tax the system of most devices to make this redrawing permanent. I’m guessing that ios 27 may get things back to where they should be, and not look like our brand new devices are being overtaxed.

For me, every icon redraws the outline every single time it’s minimized/zoomed out - believe that is what is being referred to here - watch the outline appear on the icon when you “minimize” an app.

Reading through any number of forums, this redrawing is probably the most reported and complained about issue I see.

Depends on how you have your home screen setup. The less you have, the less you will experience this.

For me, i'll personally never experience it on any product because i dont have apps on my home screen. Main page with dock icons + App Library.

Same way MacOS is set-up.

In that case you probably won’t see it. I have 3 home screens on both my ipad and phone with multiple folders containing apps and web site inks. Swiping from screen to screen causes multiple ones to either completely reappear or the items within a folder take a second to reappear. Looks really bad on the big iPads, much less so on the phones (smaller screen smaller icons and folders). With this 13” M4 iPad Pro and iphone 17PM, I have the latest devices; I, nor anyone else, should be seeing anything this glaring. None of us have ever seen this before 26.

Safari is broken again for me with this overlapping mess:
26.1 introduced multiple Safari bugs for me which persist in this release as well. When I tap on a bookmarks folder in my favorites bar after a period of time all bookmarks within that folder launch into new tabs. I’ve never used tab groups so this shouldn’t be happening. Force quitting Safari restores the normal function—tap on a folder, the folder opens with the bookmarks listed within.

Show Borders (renamed from Display Borders) does look a tad more refined. Have noticed it’s extended to the clock now, as well as home screen folders. Folder refractions though look corrupted on my end

CarPlay is completely broken for me now. Car doesn’t recognize the phone is even plugged in. I restarted the car and the phone, disconnected and reconnected multiple times and nothing. Oddly the music was playing from my phone in the background, but then that stopped too and it will no longer connect. I deleted my car from the CarPlay settings on the phone and there isn’t even an option to set it back up again.

I was just going to ask if it fixes CarPlay. Been having the disconnect issue with my iPhone Air on 26.0.1. I literally can't use CarPlay at all due to the issue since I switched to iPhone Air.
