Umm, perhaps a few but not all.

Appears at least one new stutter has been introduced, at least for me but it consistently occurs - swiping left from the widget page (far left on the Home Screen) I get two/three very noticeable stutters.

I’ve hard restart and it still occurs; did not happen on beta 3.

I'm seeing on Discord that this stutter bug is quite annoying. Gonna hold off on updating my Air, will wait for public release.

haha gotcha, how is it running on the Air? do you feel it's at a point where it's safe updating?

Someone posted a bug about app updates not downloading unless phone is restarting. Can anyone confirm?

Don’t worry, it’s just a minor issue where the UI is not updating as fast as the updates are downloaded and installed, just giving a minute has them catch up. Also only happened right after installing the beta. 10 minutes in and some more app updates appeared and the updated with the UI just following along the process fine…

Some nice changes this beta. Unfortunately Home Screen wallpaper being less vibrant than lock screen has not been fixed. This has really been an issue since a couple of years but you could at least fix it by switching between wallpapers once. This fix stopped working after 26.1 beta 1 or 2.

I'm expecting 26.1 to drop next Monday.

1. App redraw fixed
2. Safari Fixed
3. OS 26 is finally fixed.

Bring it on!!!!
Safari is still a mess, tap on a bookmarks folder and all sites within launch onto new tabs. Though that mostly occurs after every restart. Icons and folders still redraw. Other than visual issues 26 works quite well.

My fix is restarting the phone after changing wallpaper. But if you change it again it’s back to broken.

Same here since beta 3. There’s even a worse stutter when doing it on the lock screen (since 26.1 beta 1). Swiping the widget away is almost instant, like 1 or 2 frames.

It’s weird—icons redraw once upon boot-up and then they’re good until I restart again. Was the same on my iPhone 16 Pro Max and is the same on my base 14” M4 MacBook Pro. Seems the expected/correct behavior.

17 Pro Max.

Yes I have, many times. Along with hard resets. Nothing changes. I’m not the only one with this problem. It started from the first beta 26 and hasn’t been fixed!
Yep, looks terrible on my big 13” M4 iPP. Not as glaring on my iphone 17PM but still looks like an overtaxed operating system.

And another one, in App Library while swiping down for search, it sticks for a second.

Hey it worked! I noticed after updating that my Home Screen was vibrant and thought finally it was fixed but after toggling dark mode it went back to less vibrant. But after rebooting toggling dark mode did nothing this time. Also tried my work focus mode that has another lock screen configuration but with the same wallpaper and that didn’t make it less vibrant either. Would be nice if Apple some day fixes it but if I can at least do something to fix it myself then I’m fine.

Turned on the new "tinted" option (it makes the most visible change to notifications on the lock screen) and decided I don't want to live in the past, so turned it back to the drippy glass option.

Disabled "swipe to open camera from lock screen" and feel very happy about that! It almost made me forget that these minor issues still aren't fixed:

* A shortcut which turns AOD on or off (not toggle) will crash if AOD is already in that state
* Can't create stacked widgets on the Today screen

I only have like one page with widgets. Maybe it’s more pronounced for people with multiple app pages
I do have 3 Home Screen pages, only one with 3 widgets. Looks really ugly on the big screen of the ipad, not quite as bad on my 17PM. The phone also has 3 pages. Definitely looks like the devices are being overtaxed by 26. I don’t think that will change till ios 27 released.

I don’t get any stutters or redraws on my M1 Pro 11inch. Just my 16 pro. Really strange behaviour.

Im picking up an M5 on Wednesday and restoring from a backup, so will see if I have the same problem as my phone.
