"I have reviewed this thread and cannot determine if the following bug has been removed in any of the betas:

Settings> Privacy & Security > Wired Accessories. You cannot change the setting from "Always Allow".

A message says the following: "This setting is managed by your organization and cannot be changed"

This is a significant security issue and will allow 3rd party chargers that are hacked to get access to your phone's content.

I am on 26.0.1 and it is a private phone that is not managed by any MDM software."

New info:

Apple have acknowledged that this is a bug which is being investigated.

this is not a bug, I have not experienced this in previous updates nor is it happening on latest

Hoping that they identified and fixed the sporadic CarPlay disconnect/reconnect issue. It’s not really a killer but more of an annoyance..
do you mean while using the phone with CarPlay enabled? (anytime you attempt to use your phone with an active CarPlay connection and select an audio source [Facebook, YouTube, etc.] It will interrupt CarPlay by design)

Otherwise mine has been solid thru all the betas

If you had read my post fully you would have noticed that I said that this is a private phone and is not managed by any organization (or via an MDM). It is also not locked, it is unlocked, it is fully paid for etc. So this message is irrelevant and incorrect. Hence my problem.
You've misunderstood me. That message is what I'm seeing on this new beta. My phone isn't managed either.

Apple have replied to me that this is a bug. I have 3 colleagues reporting the same issue and there are a number of reports on Reddit. It appears not to be affecting all users and hardware.
What device are you having this issue with? Wondering if its just the 17's which seem to be having other issues that other devices do not have.

[Edit] No issue on iP16. I can select any of the 4 options. It defaulted to "Automatically Allow when unlocked"

Sounds like you're on a managed device as well as your colleagues. I don't see this 'bug' at all.

Did they fix the missing phots tab in a person text thread ? Photos did not transfer over and its a know issue and all over the apple community form ...I have tried al the fixes people said to try an no luck .. Its even missing on apple employees phones !

The issue whereby you tap a contact (in a widget) and it shows their location and other recent activities and options, which had stopped working in B3 is now working again. Somewhere I read that it was blanked out intentionally for privacy concerns, but you could tap info or messages etc and then still get this info. Guess it was a bug after all because its back working again!

I am still seeing app updates hanging up in this build. I supposed it could be related to today’s data center outages.

Edit: two reboots seems to have fixed it
Was about to say - I’ve never seen this. Well, I just saw it…

17 Pro Max.

Liking the new Glass setting vs the increase contrast in the accessibility settings. It seems that even with the clear setting the actual controls are still easily visible now. Notifications are legible yet clear. So far it seems to be the best overall look for 26 yet. The icon border outline redraws are gone now as well. I didn't mind them like others here did but it does look more polished without that happening. So far really liking this build. Fast, fluid and nice looking. Its a win for now. Hope battery is improved over the last two betas.
