In my experience, Car Play won't connect on 26.2. Battery got slaughtered on this update. Sweet. Keep up the good work Apple.

Looks like we may be waiting QUITE A WHILE for this to be fixed. Wonderful of them to do this over the holidays..
For me, I'm now at 4 different model iPhones not working in 3 different cars. I'm happy for the folks that are still able to use this, though. I can't even connect my iPhone to listen to my own Christmas Music I have saved.
In the Messages app, I'm finding that I have to tap the send button many times for my message to actually send...
Yes, this. I've been having this issue a lot with iOS 26 overall. Sometimes I have to tap the send button 3-5 times before it actually will send the message. A small inconvenience, but rather annoying.

Its the kind of thing I'd expect from 3rd Party apps that haven't updated to support it yet, not 1st Party apps like this.. Pretty sad, but whatever. It "works"..
Everything fine here. Biggest noticeable improvement has been battery life in 26.2 I think it's actually lasting significantly longer than on the final updates to 18 but I can't turn the clock back to actually measure that!
Pretty happy with this update after a few days have passed since installing onto my 17 Pro.
The first day had a few stutters here and there, done a hard reset and disabled adaptive power mode and things have improved significantly. Fast and fluid and performing nicely.
Also battery life has improved noticeably which is also very welcome.

Does anyone with iPads on iPadOS 26 get these dark address bar elements in Safari, after having switched back from a different app?
Since the update, my five apps for which I have set screen time limits are showing every day that I have used up my daily allowance for these apps, even though I haven't opened any of them today.. this has never happened to me before 26.2
Yes, I get those from time to time. Haven't been able to determine a way to consistently reproduce it however.
BTW, I tried wired connection today on 2020 Camry XSE and after deleting it from phone (its been a year or so since connected wired) it connected right up and showed the 2 widget columns, previously only one appeared in CarPlay settings. Seems to work fine. This is just an FYI from near to your year car.
26.2 on my 17 Pro Max made a noticeable battery life improvement.
Interesting a similar issue with Siri and ChatGPT. Siri sent me to ChatGPT and it said I had used all my times and to purchase it. I hadn’t used it at all for a while. I do not have time limits set though.
Thanks. I’ve exhausted all options and am waiting for a wireless CarPlay dongle to try. I’ve got a 2018 Impala that isn’t sold anymore and is paid off. I won’t be seeing any updates issued for my car considering they don’t even make MyLink anymore.
I can’t believe how difficult iOS/iPadOS 26 has made the simple act of bookmarking a web page to a folder. The old method was easier, faster and more intuitive. What idiot thought this was a good idea? Change for the sake of change - and not thought out as well. The entire OS is like this. Instead of fun and helpful, the OS is now a drudgery. This is not going to end well.
26.2 fixed AirDrop for me.
Worked in 26.01, broke in 26.1 where it would stall on "Waiting…" but sometimes work after cancelling, or hammering repeatedly on the button.

iOS 26 was designed by young people, great eyesight, and given the latest phones. The original UI team were locked in a dungeon somewhere without network access.

Analytics Files will not be deleted when device is syncing with macos Finder. some files gets only renamed as filename.synced other files keeps there names.

2.6 actually broke AirDrop for me :-/
Trying to send a photo from my iPhone 16 Pro Max to my M1 MBP, both on 26.2, and it goes through right away. When I try sending from my MBP to my iPhone, it stays on 'waiting' and never completes.
Appears there are fixes/improvements with both the calendar and mail apps on iOS 26.3 beta 1 as both are behaving more seamlessly and less glitchy, especially mail.
