How do I UPgrade to 26.2 without losing my data?

My lock screen weather wallpaper no longer works.. says location off even though location is on.

The problem is that when you have an issue, you have to send it to apple for a downgrade. I installed a beta just once on my watch and had to go to an Apple Store for them to send it to another country just for a downgrade.

That’s only a problem if you have a problem. The person you replied to said they’d never had a problem. I’ve used watchOS beta’s for what seems forever and apart from a slightly increased battery usage, I’ve never had a problem either.

Can someone tell me if the notification forwarding actually works? Like can you pair a Pixel Watch or Galaxy Watch via bluetooth and send your notifications there? Or is it just a framework for developers to create an app for?

Why? I’ve always used betas on my watch without any problems.

you cant simply enroll back to stable os version on watch if you dont like something or have a problem or it crashes. You have to go to the apple store.

You restore using the ipsw file and the backup you took of 26.x prior to upgrading to 26.3 beta 1.

The MacRumors article said it only works in the EU.

An upgrade won't (shouldn't) delete your data.
The Archived Backup is done in case your have to perform a restore should the upgrade fail.

If you made a backup on your Mac as you should do when downloading any Beta, then you should be able to just restore the backup with iOS 26.2

For the iPhone 17 series it rolled back to 1.20.03 from 1.20.06 in the 26.2 release.

So they must be still tweaking modifying the the modem firmware. Are you getting faster speeds?

Haven’t tested but the baseband firmware rollback is fairly common with new beta 1 builds. Beta 2 should address that with a newer firmware build.

I couldn’t perceive differences compared to 26.2… running smoothly and surprisingly cool on my 17PM…
