Search being at the top isn’t new to iOS 26.4. It was already at the top for Music, Files and Shortcuts. See screenshots.

Literally just experienced 15 minutes ago when opening the door, and then I view the app and they weren’t updating since Sunday.

Mine aren’t chiming, rather just not updating.
Went to remove them so I can re-add and hopefully get them working again, but the remove screen just sits there for one while the other says not found even though it shows on the Items screen screen.

Thankfully after a while they finished. 🙄

A third AT is working just fine. These are all Gen 1 ATs.

Keyboard on screen is working better. Still some lag but not as bad. Using the Magic KB still has issues. Spell and Grammar checking is still really bad.

Still seeing issue in Safari where:
1 - Paying with Apple Pay at times it will not allow you to select the card - just processes the default
2 - If you turn off the 60hz limit some touch controls fail to work

Apps in Game Center are running slower. The rest of the apps so far seem okay.

Proton - my main suite, is running well

Gen1 Airtags and Airpods Pro 3. I have a 17 Pro Max so not sure if it's phone related or something else causing it.

edit: just checked findmy and it stopped working again (last updated 3 hours ago)... so it looks like rebooting the phone fixes it for like 20-30 min max. Can't wait for Beta 3 to come out.
On a whim, I decided to check my AirTags. None of my 5 have been updated in 3 weeks, so this functionality may have been broken since the 26.3 RC? Very concerning.

Update: after a restart, I was able to connect to all. I’ll report back if they stop updating their location again.

Mine are all Gen 1 too, in the Apple Watch not in beta they update just fine, I will try to remove and add them again.
I remember other beta build that had a similar issue and that was the solution during the cicle.

I like the new colorful Apple Music but in the dark when you’re in dark mode, if you view a white/light colored album be prepared to be blinded.
I wish we could turn some of the tinting down or off; as someone who prefers visual ergonomics over flashiness, I’m not a fan, but I see what they’re going for.

is the home screen swipe animation lag fixed??
Assuming you’re referring to, “Switching between an App & Home Screen via App Switcher causes Stutter when Swiping between home screens” - No, it is not.

There are multiple feedback reports including my own that have more than ten similar reports.

It’s either the effects of the nor’easter or this beta is sluggish. Everything takes a while to load. Internet feels slow. Even email takes a while to load

Hi.
Well, I’m on 18.7.2. I’d like your advice, should I upgrade to the latest version, 26? It’s been a while since iOS 26 came out, so I assume they’ve fixed some of the initial issues. But I wouldn’t want to get frustrated if the update affects the battery or isn’t stable. Thanks in advance.
Do yourself a favour. Pop into an Apple Store, Department Store or Phone Shop and have a play around. Nobody here is bitching (more than usual).

Just read the 6 pages of this thread. Answer is obvious.

The truth is, it never ceases to amaze me how Apple prefers to waste time redesigning the Apple Store account section and others, something that doesn't add any real value to the user. And yet, we still haven't found solutions to bugs that were reported and acknowledged by them months later. For example, the fact that Assistive Touch still won't go into sleep mode after I took a screenshot almost seven months after reporting it, and they said they had identified a solution for a future version, a version that still hasn't been released, clearly demonstrates Apple's priorities.

Seeing as iOS 26 isn't going to bring any significant new features, because the famous "intelligent Siri" is 90% complete and I think we'll only see it in iOS 27, they should get ahead of the game and start cleaning up the code now. At least these next few months should be used to deliver a truly stable iOS 27, free of so many graphical and functional bugs.

Apple is a For Profit company.
Apple makes money off the App Store, hence it will always be a priority.
Fixing bugs costs them money.
iPhone 17 series was a record seller.
So why fix bugs since users seem happy buying bug-ridden products?
Vote with your dollar.
