iOS 26.4 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

AirTag updating problem also affects devices like AirPods on the Find my app
Also my AirTags disappeared after a reboot, but they are on my other devices.

Update: they appeared after about 5 minutes later.

Is anyone having issues with notifications not making any sound? Seems like it’s always silenced somehow.

That has been there since the very first beta of iOS 26 through iOS 26.3 where it is also present. Cannot unsee once you saw it, I know.
I reported it during the 26.0 beta phase, still open issue with no action whatsoever.

So here’s one that I think is new in 26.4 Beta 2. Or I’m a moron and never noticed before. Either is possible.

Open YouTube app (or other music type streaming app that displays artwork)

Exit to lock screen. Thumbnail or music artwork shows on lock screen like album covers do when using Apple Music.

I have experienced on my iPad running beta 2 twice now where the new App Store account/updates pages do not respond and just spins. To fix it I have restarted my iPad each time and I am able to access those pages again. Haven’t seen this on my iPhone yet. Just FYI, in case this occurs for others.

The App store is soooo slow now. I thought it may have been a phone performance issue at first, did a reboot and nope - it stalls and stutters. If anyone has given feedback, send me the number and I will put my feedback in on it.

The icon redraw - that seemed to have been mostly fixed in the last 26.4 beta 1 is back in beta 2 like what I was seeing in the older versions on 26.

That’s been the case for many years now, but totally understand you may have not noticed it if you weren’t using other services. I use Spotify and practically never use Apple Music, and the cover art displays along with controls for playback on the Lock Screen. 🙂👍🏻
 
Nevermind - just read the last messages.

Hey, this update killed my iPhone 17PM capacity to interact with my AirTags… is anyone experiencing the same?
