Why can’t I get widgets on CarPlay? Is there a setting I am missing or do I need another widget app?

My Anker 3-in-1 cube with Qi2 seems like it was dramatically slowed on both the iOS 26.4 RC beta and the public release. For the last week or so I've not been topping while showering/doing skincare like I was previously.

I've tried multiple bricks and have multiple 3-in-1s.

I can no longer manage access to Apple Music from other devices as of iOS/iPadOS/MacOS 26.4. There used to be a "Apple Music" section under the "Account Access" section in the Media Account settings in iOS/iPadOS/MacOS as seen in the screenshot on https://support.apple.com/en-us/118412, but that menu no longer exists. There is now a "Connected Accounts" menu, but that doesn't include any services that have access to Apple Music. For example my Playstation 5 and Alexa devices have access to my Apple Music (and Podcast), but I can no longer see that let alone disconnect them from the Apple side.

Any idea where this option went or was it accidentally removed? It's not great that you can't revoke access to Apple Music anymore.

The stuttering is embarrassing, the ram management is absolutely terrible my apps are constantly reloading just being in the background for a minute or two, 12GB ram just being wasted. Apple is taking place of Samsung when it comes to optimization, the constant lagging is reminding me of touchwiz, not a good look. Modern flagship Samsung devices are essentially lag free, smooth in every app.
I am on a 17 Pro Max and the stuttering from app swipe up to between home screen pages is insane. Its 26.4 and Apple cant get this right! 12 GB of RAM and apps reload like mad

Is anyone else having a CarPlay issue where Siri will not dismiss automatically after being summoned via “hey siri”?

I have to tap the screen to get rid of the glow around the display after asking Siri to play xyz.

Even Apple’s own Genius Bar technician mentioned that performance is unlikely to improve over the iOS 26 cycle. They described iOS 26 as one of the biggest changes Apple has made to iOS in years, which may explain some of the current issues. They also noted that Apple is likely focusing on stability first, with further performance optimisations expected to come with iOS 27.

At this point I'm just happy they fixed splits not being read by siri on the watch.

I probably wont update until I know they haven't broken it in future updates.

They better improve performance on iOS 27 or I am done with iOS.

This isn’t specific to this release but rather the entire 26 series.
AutoUpdate of the App Store.

Dropped into my Citibank app this morning and got a notice that I needed an update. What? I just updated Wednesday - manually via the Update function via the icon.

back to the icon, clicked update - it showed 2. No Citibank. Pulled to refresh and had 17. Some as old as 5 days. Mind you I updated (same process) last Wednesday. Last Wednesday had no Citibank update.

Updated just fine and all is well. The behavior of the App Store, updates, and auto updates is and has been atrocious.

End annoying mini-rant. Thanks for “listening”.

I have an app that needs updating constantly (a MMO game), and I do this quick cheat:
  1. Long press App.
  2. Select Share App (sometimes now hidden under more options)
  3. Copy [Link] to app on the share sheet
  4. Pull down home screen to open search bar
  5. Paste link and press enter. The URL will open the app store directly to the right app.
  6. Press Update
This can be faster that scrolling through potentially 100s of apps that need updating. I also find this faster than opening the app store and searching. Less typing.

You could probably make a shortcut to do this.

anyone's health widget is not showing data on iPhone 17 Pro after latest update?

The watch and the actual app have no such issues

Is anyone else getting this floating keyboard control bug on their iPad with Magic Keyboard connected?

It seems to only happen in Messages when a person has DND turned on. If DND is off, everything looks correct and the message text bar is lower (in the right spot).

This public release of 26.4 is running worse than the RC on my iPhone 17! Having random stutters & millisecond freezing. Eg - times when swiping to unlock/close apps to go to Home Screen with a slight delay and then very choppy loading the apps, having random app redraws.

Similarly, frame rate on my M5 iPad Pro almost always drops to 60Hz when activating split view or pulling up certain apps in windowed mode, especially with the Magic Keyboard. And if I lock my screen on a certain Safari tab, if my iPad sits idle long enough, it always refreshes the Safari tab once I unlock it again. M5 and 12GB of RAM and I’m still getting noticeably bad frame rate drops and Safari refreshes every single day.

Not to mention, there’s still the Spotlight search bug where literally half the time you activate Spotlight and have the Magic Keyboard connected, the keyboard will simply not work. I regularly have to swipe away Spotlight and try again to get it to work.

This is the most disgusting release of iOS. Lots of app restarts and home screen animation lags! Notice this happens only on the 17/Pro model. On the Air its buttery smooth! This is a freaking 12GB RAM device acting like a 4GB RAM. Totally disgusting user experience.

Yes I should’ve mentioned that RAM management is terrible with apps reloading even after being off screen for a matter of seconds, very annoying!
