Back quite a few years ago, I used to occasionally public beta test on Windows 10 via the “Windows Insider” programme. I don’t know what it’s like now, but back then Microsoft used to give decent, clear, easy to understand release notes when releasing the beta to say what new features were in the build, what was in A/B testing so some might not see it, what new setting has been added but isn’t functional as it’s laying the groundwork for a future build, specific major bugs that had been fixed, if there was a bug they believe they’ve found the root cause of and believe they’ve fixed but want it testing and feedback on it. And so on.Some people on reddit have been complaining about FaceID glitches - maybe it fixes that.
As usual, Apple is saying nothing.
It was much clearer as a beta tester what to expect, test and feedback on with each beta (along with feeding back on any other bugs that may crop up in normal use of course). In my opinion Apple should be more open and take this approach and it would benefit beta testers, as well as Apple with hopefully more improved, targeted feedback.
