iOS 26.5 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I’m so happy that this bug is back. At least on 26.5b1, swiping to a different Home Screen fixes it.

That’s good news. Do alarm notifications go to your Huawei? And can you cancel them on the Huawei?

This is something that used to work before ios26.

I disagree. The look does feel stale after a while.

Also, improvements like Dynamic Island, live activities, and others make it magical.

I love transparency, but am a little irked by the blue plastic look.

It seems like there are new animations in this release. The faceid unlock seems new on iPad, the low battery seems more animated.

Are there other new ones?

I agree with this very much. When Liquid Glass looks crystal clear, like dock and folders in dark mode, it looks great. When it’s mostly filled-in with either light or dark color, such as share menus and tap+holding an icon on the home screen, it looks great to me as well.

It just looks terrible to me when it’s slightly milky like you said, such as Safari’s address bar and the person’s name when you’re in a Messages conversation. If iOS 27 truly brings a slider that can allow me to force minimum or maximum transparency, I think that will make me enjoy Liquid Glass a lot more.

I wish there was a way for me to do tinted light mode, but clear dark mode. Tinted dark glass bothers me the most because the edges are still bright and ultra-refractive like clear glass. Everything looks tilted.

Anyone else suffering since the RCS text message text they allowed recently that you get all Android text messages like 8 to 10 hours after they are sent to you? Oh, and they only come and can be sent in SMS (RCS is turned on though) and even the SMS ones are on major delay??? I know have to put the exact time stamp in every text and call the person to tell them I sent something and copy the text into a Gmail note just to get it to them…every single Android text!!!!

Praying this fix in iOS25 fixes it correctly because it’s made my life hell!!!

I even did a call with ATT & Apple for 4 hours together on one line - they replace my eSIM remotely, Apple went into my phone and tried many things as did ATT direct them to as well. They told me it was fixed after the 4 hours, but it was not and neither knows why! WTF!

Anyone else? Any real ideas?

I am confused by your post. Are you running this particular beta software on your phone? Or are you asking if this version fixes the issue that you have?

Ok, so it still happens on 26.5 B1? I have tried ways and means to find fixes, but to no avail. Its worst on 26.4 and 26.5 B1! almost 70% of the time. Lets brainstorm!

Move slowly and that virtually eliminates it.

There are multiple feedback reports on this and they’re listed as having more than ten reports.

Just catching up…
They must have figured it out by the time I got home on Monday and installed because I had no issues with IPSW on my 17 Pro Max…
