Update: Installed 23F5054h IPSW on my iPhone 17 Pro Max with user data kept.

Installation went smoothly and the device is now stable.

No long restore screen issues like with the d build.

Both my devices are running well on 23F5054h.

So far so good — no major battery drain or overheating noticed yet.

Anyone else having good results with the h IPSW?

Update / Follow-up:

Just finished installing the h build (23F5054h) IPSW on my iPhone 17 Pro Max while keeping user data.

It went smoothly compared to the earlier d build attempts. No long “Preparing to restore data” stuck this time.

Both of my devices are now running stable 23F5054h:
- One via OTA
- One via the newly available h IPSW

Apple seems to have fixed the IPSW issue by adding the proper h build to the Developer site.

Has anyone else successfully installed the h IPSW yet?
How was your experience?

Thanks!

But does build d actually boot and become usable?

d stands for disaster

so avoid it

most people who tried it ended up with bricked iphones

so yeah this d build will forever be known as the disaster build

the h version works better so no need to try out the disaster build

so why is there even a h build? clearly apple agree the d build is a disaster otherwise they wouldn’t have made the h build.

If you are in the Apple Store they can do the restore. Just set up a Genius Bar appointment.
Thank you
Sorry for being so dramatic
Just don’t know how I get my self in these situations.
I love the iPhone I have it’s just I click on things too fast and then I get my self in a panic .
I know betas can be annoying but it’s a beta and I should know better .
Sorry all

Successfully installed the 23F5054h ipsw!
@drak22
Yes, d build did eventually boot on my first device, but it was slow and unstable with long “Preparing to restore data” screen.

After switching to h build (23F5054h), everything became much smoother and stable.

The new h IPSW installed cleanly with user data kept. No major issues so far.

Both devices are running well on 23F5054h.

HELP!
My IPhone 16 pro max is on iOS 26.5 Beta 2 and I want it off my phone
How do I get back to iOS 26.4.1 without a pc
I want it off my phone it’s make it unusable and cannot stand it !
I have the iOS 26.5 B2 on a 15PM and 16P with a watch 10. All 3 devices are operating without any problems. I suggest that you find out what is wrong with your iPhone or setup that is causing your problems as you may have something defective. There are so many folks that have updated their iPhones that any problems would have been identified already. Please state what is making your iPhone unusable and maybe someone will come up with a solution. Sorry about your frustration.

I have a Genius Bar appointment tomorrow to sort and the issues were
Home Screen lag
Messages not receiving or sending
Email not syncing correctly
iCloud Photos sync issues
Just to name a couple

Victim shaming.

Tell your daughter it’s her fault.
