What is the actual point of Notification forwarding?

Bluetooth devices do that anyway.

I have an Apple Watch - an alarm notification goes to the watch (same for iOS18)

I have a Garmin Fenix 8 - an alarm notification does not go to the watch (it did in iOS18)

So although it's a notification that appears on the iPhone and Apple Watch, it doesn't go to a 3rd party watch.

Hi, It's about native notification, without an app in between, and you can choose what app send what notif.

Today, it works with Garmin with the Garmin app, but for example, this does not work with a Galaxy Watch.

I have hopes that it will work with a Galaxy Watch (my wife had one as a gift...)

I have a Genius Bar appointment tomorrow to sort and the issues were
Home Screen lag
Messages not receiving or sending
Email not syncing correctly
iCloud Photos sync issues
Just to name a couple
Genius Bar process…
Restore device via store MacBook back to release version…if backup is from beta it can’t be used, only backups created on 26.4 release version will work. No workaround other than reinstalling the beta.

Can’t do hardware repair service unless on release version

Sounds more like an iCloud issue than the beta…

Anyone else, feel like the keyboard is broken as hell? Feel like I'm misspelling words WAY more than usual.
Yep! When 26.4 came out with keyboard fixes, I found it actually made my typing worse. Maybe my thumbs had gotten used to the "old" keyboard, but I've been using iPhones exclusively since the 4s and I've never had such issues mistyping words that I do right now.

Good to know I'm not insane!

Native, or non native, there is no difference, same speed receiving them. It still
Isn’t sending all notifications (alarm for example). So Apple isn’t forwarding all
Notifications.

Since 26.5 Siri has gone back to the classic "orb" when activating instead of the newer "glowing edge." Anyone else have this issue?

I do a lot of video watching / listening on both my Air and iPad Pro. Frequently I may jump ahead or run it at 2x. With beta 2 I am running into frequent freezes at 2x and jumps. After playing around a bit I am finding that loading in the background is much slower than 26.4. Used my wife’s Mini to compare and it is noticeable. App may need to be updated but something was changed for 26.5.

Anybody know why I can't seem to remove this public beta 26.5 from my 17 pro? Followed instructions to the tee (recovery mode, select restore, etc). My Mac (on 15.7.5) Finder keeps saying it is downloading the software, but about halfway through download the iPhone restarts right back to the beta, and then Finder still says " downloading".

if the download takes more than 15 minutes, the phone restarts in normal mode. Let the download finish, then put your phone back in recovery mode and the Mac should pick up the downloaded ipsw and you can restore your phone.

I'm the opposite! Been totally fine until this beta.

Oh wait... Do you ned to have Apple Intelligence turned ON to get the different Siri prompt? I turned it off cause I was tired of it eating up 30-40 gigs of storage but not really providing me any value..
Definitely.. No Apple Intelligence ... No new Siri animation

Anyone experiencing issues with iCloud Photos in general? Any time I want to send a recently taken photo(RAW or HEIF) it gets stuck on preparing. I even tried taking a photo and tried sending it to a friend and it got stuck loading it into the messages app.
Happening on my iPhone 17PM.

The beta curse gets me again!
Well not exactly I am back on public iOS 26.4.1 but Apple ID not working for iCloud so after speaking to support I have to get a Genius Bar appointment and then they will get a spare phone / device I sign in to said device let it login to iCloud and then sign out of that and then sign in again on my phone 😔
Is it just a me issue or something I am missing because I cannot tell you how many times over the years I have to get apple to fix my phone 🤷‍♂️

absolutely. iPhone keyboard is getting worse and worse. Apple is so different from Steve Apple!!

Try disabling slide-to-type (aka swipe-to-text) and see if it improves… This has been my only fix so far, as annoying as it is.
It does feel like my issues have disappeared since the 26.4 update and I have swipe-to-text enabled again. Had it turned off for a couple weeks.

It doesn’t feel like placebo, but maybe someone with technical knowledge can chime in: it seems turning off swipe-to-text helps train the keyboard better.

Here’s my post with explaination:

Yeah, right 🙄
With „Steve Apple“ they‘d tell you something like „You‘re typing wrong!“.
