I noticed on the RC 1 there was a few bugs now I installed the RC 2 hoping there fixed
I’ve been on RC2 for a few days now (now it’s the same build as final) and definitely notice it better than RC1 but at times there’s a sluggish Home Screen when going between pages.

Some apps freeze as well, so hopefully those get updated to fix it, though those apps weren’t freezing until I went to RC1. Might do a fresh install as it’s been a while. Tried rebooting a few times (soft and hard boots) and still there.

iOS 26.5.1 on the horizon? Likely and typical before a major iOS beta arriving next month for devs. Can’t wait for iOS 27!

Device is iPhone 17 Pro.

Guys is anyone experiencing an issue with face ID not unlocking the phone properly?

Since I updated to the latest beta, the phone either doesn't unlock or when it does, it's jittery and takes a little longer.

I've switched the phone off and on cleaned the camera but still the same.

Try this, Up Vol, Down Vol then hold top Right button/switch until iPhone restarts. Also may be a dumb statement but Face Id is top Front facing camera. Hope this helps.

12 GB for a decimal update that essentially only gives me ads in Maps? 😂 are you kidding me, Apple? I think I’ll wait until a meaningful update is released

12 GB? I only got 3.5 GB update, though I was transitioning from 26.3.1 to 26.5

Seems many have different sized updates with no rhyme or reason. It’s kinda all over the place, which goes right along with iOS 26 in general.

13.42GB for me, from 26.4.2. Definitely the largest update I’ve ever seen.

I think I’m gonna give it a few days to see what kind of feedback people give. 26.4.2 is rock solid.

This build completely broke search within Health. Everything was fine until RC2, now basically nothing can be found by searching, but all data is there and can be accessed under Show All Health Data.

I have something similar with reminders and notes, after each update... Solution that always works: in iCloud settings, temporarily turn off syncing of reminders and notes, deleting what's stored locally when asked, and then turning syncing back on. After a couple of minutes, when all reminders and notes are downloaded again, search also works fine again...

12 GB is a lot, unless you a doing an IPSW installation? If not, perhaps you are using AI and it gets the refreshed brains. I was updating from 26.4.2 to 26.5 with AI disabled and had 6+ GB on iPhone 17 and 3+ GB on iPad Pro.

I agree, feature-wise it is quite a mellow update, but then iOS 27 first beta is just a month away, so they must have put iOS 26 on the lower shelf now. 😋
Feature wise maybe, but there are over 50 security fixes and lots of optimization code and changes behind the scenes. I am quite happy with the update. Seems smooth and fast to me and battery seems better as well. I'll take that!
