I should add that the only devices regularly checking Email on those accounts are my phone and my laptop (Windows). The laptop is not having any issues so it is not causing the accounts to lock out.

I typically hit CANCEL and ignore the messages. Sometimes they simply stop with no further action on my part. A couple days ago I re-entered the (same) passwords on both accounts and it stopped for a couple days. But the issue is back today. My laptop has no issues at all.

Nothing whatsoever has changed on my phone other than updating from 26.5 RC1 to 26.5 RC2.
Some security software picks up if the request bounces around the place as a way to lock as well. Are you using a VPN or iCloud Private Relay?

Screen brightness is borked with 26.5. Sitting outside on a sunny day & all of a sudden screen dims like I went to a lower lit environment.

Same is true with being inside with screen brightness at ~50%. Out of nowhere it goes to 100% brightness.

Turning off the screen and then turning back on the phone fixes. Anyone else?
If the phone gets hot outside, it often dims … a LOT. Is that it?

In iPad Safari (compact tab bar) normal behaviour is for inactive tabs to show fav-/icons, the active tab just the × close button.

New bug shows both simultaneously on the active tab.

Thanks to the amazing quality of Apple’s software, I was late to job today.
My iPhone didn’t ring a thing, my watch didn’t use haptic feedback, nothing.
I have attention awareness under Face ID turned off.
2 different Apple products and both of them failed to trigger an alarm.

Both on latest software - iOS and WatchOS 26.5

In the weekend, out of the blue, notifications become a mess, no push notifications for most of my installed Apps! I didn't change anything, i noticed only, a carrier update (Cosmote 70, Greece), i think is about RCS encryption support.

One thing they still don't have down- I have a Medication Reminder set to go off every morning, and I'm almost always wearing my Apple Watch with my iPhone on the desk next to me, while I'm using my MacBook and my iPad is on the other side of my desk NOT being used...

I'll get the Medication reminder first on my iPad (that I'm not using) and then after what seems like at least 15 or so seconds, I'll see the reminder on my iPhone. I almost always have to manually look at my Apple Watch and sometimes tap it and THEN I'll see the reminder there and can acknowledge it, and see the reminder on my other lock screens clear away. It's literally always the last device I'd expect to see the alert on that I see the alert on. You'd think the Watch would show the Reminder first, you know, because I'm wearing it. And then also the Phone at the same time because I have the option to mirror notifications... Small gripe, I suppose, but still.

Facetime calls haven’t been ringing while using my AirPods.

Not sure what is up, but using my AirPods Pro 3 with my Air, even though I turned it off, I keep getting alerts that my AirPods case charging is limited to 80% to preserve battery.

Not sure if the culprit is the AirPods, the case, or the phone. 🙄

When traveling internationally, I cannot manually select the network i want to be on. When I toggle "automatic selection" off, it does absolutely nothing. When I go back in, it's back on and my phone gives me a "cannot connect to cellular data" message.. I don't think this was an issue with prior versions.

It’s been like this in iOS 18 and probably before. It takes a while to populate the available network list once you toggle the Automatic mode off. I cross the border twice a week, so by now I don’t even bother selecting a roaming network manually, as iPhone will pick the strongest available signal anyway.

Yeah, I rarely ever select manually but some networks are just horrible in crowded areas. In Mexico, TELCEL is the only carrier that works in populated areas/events so i have to manually switch.

Or my carrier which always chooses the worst network in Germany (O2 I think) so I manually need to switch to Telekom.

Yes. Usually happens in the middle of the night after long periods of inactivity. It stutters doing anything, after maybe 5 seconds it returns to normal.

I've had Apple Intelligence turned off for almost a month and it's not deleting the models. There's still a visible 3.08GB Apple Intelligence section, and the rest is System Data. How do I delete the models if I don't use or have Apple Intelligence enabled?

Sounds like they run some housekeeping/indexing job that runs at idle times, with that all cached things get flushed, and when you restart using your phone it needs to load everything from scratch. Pretty normal, but they could find ways to avoid it. I don't think they care at this point.

No email repetitions but I am seeing repeats of Notifications from various apps. I’ll clear them and the next day day some are back.

The email piece on my side might be because I have Proton Mail as my default email app.

Been going through my apps for any issues - iPhone Air

Getting random app lockups in the midst of doing something. Have to kill the app and relaunching.
They all launch fine so far, just a few that freeze mid use. Nothing consistent. They don’t crash, just freeze.

Couple of additional items….

iPad Pro 11
Apps are randomly vanishing off the Home Screen. Still in the Library so no issue getting them back. Latest was App Store this morning.

iPad and iAir - open an app and I am getting notices that an update is available. Had one for Blink and Discover. This is new.

App Store - as a result of the “you have an up0date” alert I looked in the App Store. Had 2 updates. Refresh, has 29 updates. Some a week old.

Game slowness is an issue - Air. Game starts great but after a bit starts getting slower. Thought it might be me so I hopped on my S26 Ultra and yep, the Air was sloooowwwww. Thermal? Infr scanner didn;t show anything Abby Normal.

Just updated from iOS 18 to iOS 26.5 on my 16 Pro. Somehow I cant disable allow website tinting in safari settings. Enabling and disabling does’nt make a difference. More people with this issue?
