My Air got really really hot, laggy, and was burning battery at a rate of 1% every 2 minutes or so, and it would t stop until I hard-rebooted it twice. I haven’t had it overheat like that since 26.0 betas.

Already tried removing it and re-adding it. Still same issue. It mirrors phone so email is there when phone is around. What's weird is that I just tested it by turning iPhone off and left watch on cellular only and emails came through on the watch. So not sure if it is just a cosmetic bug, but if it got emails while phone was off, I'm assuming it is signed in on watch despite it still indicating to sign in.
I believe it’s a cosmetic bug. I’ve had this with every version of watchOS 26 and iOS 26, even after unpairing and resetting both phone and watch as new devices multiples times. I get the “unable to verify your account” pop-up every single time, yet emails still come through via cellular or WiFi when the watch isn’t near the phone, so it clearly works just fine.

You are indeed 100% correct. Wish you were around 3 hours earlier before Apple suggested it was an authorization token only affecting the phone and that account and to change my Gmail password despite me telling them I didn't believe that to be the issue. Oh well, at least now I have an updated password, despite that not being the issue. Only realized it after changing it, it still prompted the sign in bug. The odd thing was that on cellular, it was randomly giving me cannot connect errors, while other times it connected. That was the only reason I decided to give the password thing a whirl. So far, been working without a hiccup even though the cosmetic bug remains. Appreciate you pointing that out.

So after running this for a few days I can honestly say this is the smoothest iOS 26 to date, I look forward to iOS 27 if it’s true they’re going to work on optimizations.
I’m tempted to switch back to iPhone for the MacBook integration, but I’m on an S25 Ultra right now. To be honest, the reason I ditched the iPhone in the first place was the endless wait for Apple to actually polish the animations. Despite all the claims that it was the smoothest iOS ever, my experience was the complete opposite. It was a huge disappointment. At this point, I’m holding out for iOS 27 and staying with the macOS/Android combo. Apple really dropped the ball for me.

Just come back already.

I have a really odd visual glitch when returning to the main screen from an individual thread in messages but outside of that it's running pretty good on my 13 Pro Max.

I wish I was back on my S24 lol.

Yep, same here. It‘s just cosmetic, everything works fine even though the error suggests otherwise.

Nice, I thought it was just me who hates his videos. Nothing but yapping nothings with comments praising him for doing so
His videos would actually be good if he knew how to properly edit. He repeats the same things over and over in a rambling fashion but he does actually have some useful info. His videos should be half the length.
