Pulled the trigger on the 16PM and it's now sitting in the fridge for a few minutes...
BIG WARNING!!!!!!!
Anyone with a non-original Apple battery should stay away from this update! After the update, the device only displays 1% and restarts every few minutes!
Installed the beta - bricked device - stuck on low battery screen, battery was at 60% when started the update but had plugged in. Force restart not working - device not being found by computer when plugged in.
Reddit, baby!Excuse me, but Apollo is back?
I searched but didn't find any mention of this one..... after installing iOS 26 DB1 on my iPhone 16 Pro, I discovered that software update checking is broken. The options at the top of the software update page to select dev beta, public beta, and for that matter ANY version are gone. And when it tries to check for updates, I get "UNABLE TO CHECK FOR UPDATE an error occurred while checking for a software update" and there is a link for "try again" which always fails.
Anyone else? Hopefully this is a server issue?View attachment 2518050
Are you using an Apple Battery?
I wouldn't worry about that right now, probably stuff being worked on behind the scenes.I searched but didn't find any mention of this one..... after installing iOS 26 DB1 on my iPhone 16 Pro, I discovered that software update checking is broken. That is my hope. But if it IS broken, we're stuck on DB1, at least for OTA updatesI wouldn't worry about that right now, probably stuff being worked on behind the scenes.
Same issue for me. Tried resetting all seatings, and even restored but issue persists. Good to know that I am not the only one.I searched but didn't find any mention of this one..... after installing iOS 26 DB1 on my iPhone 16 Pro, I discovered that software update checking is broken. On my 16PM, it appears to be severe. I've never seen anything like this rate of drain.how's the battery drain?
It seeing this, mine says up to date with homepodos 18.5. (Beta is enabled)There is a beta for HomePod but unsure what it does
Yeah it’s going to be like this a couple days. It takes a while for everything to finish indexing with this big of an update. On my 16PM, it appears to be severe. I've never seen anything like this rate of drain.
iOS7, had a few changes over it's beta. The first few beta's had a glowing green battery when on charge for example.THIS. Lot of people being very dramatic for a first beta.
