Did you have to leave it off, or did you turn it off and then back on again? I would like to continue to use the call screening functions, but not at the expense of missing regular/expected calls. I’ve been having issues with calls/texts not ringing/notifying since B2. I’ve reported the issues to Apple, and if hoping they’d be fixed here in B4. But maybe not?
The classic view also works with call screening if you have it enabled, so leaving it in there and having the option on should work. But changing to the new view makes you loose calls.

just tried to make an anonymous call on my iPhone... got the Apple Voice asking for Name and Call-Reason (in German) - but got only a Voice Mail, no button to pick up - maybe because it was mirrored on the MacBook too.

EDIT: on a German Vodafone iPhone
Thanks for testing. With anonymous calls it‘s working for me as well. With numbers not saved in the contacts it‘s not working 🤷🏼‍♂️.
Possibly the wording in the settings is missleading.

In Spain, it works as expected, but I had to disable it. When people hear a robot talking to them, they hang up because they think it's a spam number. I've already missed several calls from doctors or transporters, so I've disabled it, and it will continue to do so. A spam filter is what Google or Samsung have; it's an answering machine that actually does more harm than good because people have already learned that if a robot speaks to you, that number is a spam or scam number. And here in Spain, at least, we can receive more than 10 such calls depending on the day. It's going to cause a lot of problems if Apple insists on leaving it enabled by default, as it's doing in the beta versions. I have to disable it after each update because Apple keeps enabling it again.

why don't they just add a 1px inverse color outline to everything? it would immediately fix every readability problem

I changed one of my home telephone SIP numbers to transmit an "unknown" number and it got the intercepted as the anonymous call ...

I agree, this will need a lot of learning from everybody that this is a new way to prevent scam ... will need a good advertising spot, not one like the disappearing cat they made ...

So disappointed with these releases….

I don't see much difference to last year, except the look .. which is a bit a disappointment .. but as @HouseLannister said, we are still in the middle of the beta cycle.
And what I did see currently from b4 on Mac and iPhone/iPad, I am pretty Ok with it (except one 3rd party iPhone app which still does not work as it should - and shows frustrating lack of feedback from the feedback app and the developers (PayPal alternative wallet)

I would never install a beta before a vacation. If it‘s a summer / beach / it‘ll be hot vacation, you effectively fry your battery health due to betas having heaty side effects + your hot environment.

Wait until you return, regardless of PB1 releasing. Your battery health will thank you later.

I agree. I am currently trying betas on my old iPhone 11, but don’t really feel like putting it on my daily iPhone 15 with 94% of battery capacity, as I would like to keep my iPhone 15 for another year without swapping its battery.

How does it run in general on the iPhone 11? My mom has a 11 Pro and I‘m worried her phone might become unusable.

Same here. Was hoping they had fixed this by now. Oh well, beta life…🤪
BTW, I sent feedback, but about Qi2 connecting and disconnecting continuously, but it still shows no other reports / Open. Hmm…
Maybe clear English was the wrong choice, maybe I need to try and speak developer.

(I’m sure all the curse words would get me kicked out of AppleSeed lol)

Can you explain this bug? Are you saying that your phone won't charge above 80% when using MagSafe/Qi charging? If so, that's enough to make me downgrade back to iOS 18.5.
-ish. I think it’s relating to thermals. Because MagSafe2 and Qi2 do run considerably warmer than MagSafe and Qi, the phone will get to 80% and then after a bit you’ll hear it play the “connected to wireless charging” sound again, which will keep happening every couple minutes.

Wireless charging also seems slower for all of these 26 betas… I should be able to put my phone on the MagSafe2 charger at 5am and wake up at 7am at 100%.

This does -not- affect wired charging, however.
