That’s probably related to the new HDR screenshot feature.Has anyone noticed screenshots of the home screen look much darker than they are? It's odd. Here's the difference. The one on the left is correct. The wallpaper should look light and bright. But when I screenshot it, it turns dark like on the right.

I wonder if the grayscale levels on that album cover happen to be just around the threshold where it switches between white and black. It’s a bug. Tapping around on the screen fixed it, but then the top bar went dark. Lol![]()
it should follow the dev-beta, which is on a weekly schedule after beta-5Do we think Public Beta is moving to the weekly cadence this week? I forget how long they take to move from biweekly to weekly normally
Sure they will do this I think - but why waiting for pb3 if you just can hop on beta 6 already right now ! 🤣Do we think Public Beta is moving to the weekly cadence this week? I forget how long they take to move from biweekly to weekly normally
Weird. Screenshots look not different here … even with a bright wallpaper

You saved my life, I had it turned on before the update and I couldn’t believe my eyes reading all those good comments for the performance. I just turned it off and my 16PM now is a rocket!! very fast! Thank youThis update is awesome. If I turn reduce transparency on, it gets glitchy though.
Could it be bypassed by changing the iPhone name?Only one iCloud backup per device. So if you update to 26 and your device is backing up to iCloud, the backup will be the one of iOS 26 and the existing one of iOS 18 will be overwritten.
No don’t think soCould it be bypassed by changing the iPhone name?

Yep wondered the same yesterday, took as a mistake a screenshot of my homescreen and it looked similar to yours
Got it, and yes it worked !Check in Settings > General > Screen Capture. If it's checked on SDR, switch it to HDR. That worked for me.
We will most likely see a beta 7 and 8 like on the years before and the the RC. There is still some time and room for further polish.Only major issue I’m noticing is the screenshot issue where the image is darker and the notifications har a clear box and then dark with Reduced Transparency on. Have Screen Capture set to SDR (most compatible), switching to HDR fixes it.
Not a fan that passcode was added in the last few betas or so when checking deleted or hidden photos. Before it was just Face ID. We should have a toggle to allow passcode or not for that.
My iPhone 15 Pro is running like butter on this beta. Overall, great build so far. Feels like an RC build is getting close.
So RC most likely on first of September!?We will most likely see a beta 7 and 8 like on the years before and the the RC. There is still some time and room for die he er polish.
But overall I’m pretty happy with iOS 26 since beta 4 and especially now with the beta 6. It’s on a really good way. The overall design really did grow on me.
No don’t think so
In my experience it doesn’t overwrite ios 18. Yes it will backup iOS 26 but when I want to revert back to iOS 18, when restoring, at the end of the setup, there’s an option to select the last backup of iOS 18.Could it be bypassed by changing the iPhone name?
That’s Labor Day, so no.So RC most likely on first of September!?
