No, the RC version will be released after the iPhone 17 launch event, with a public release a week later. And as far as I remember, there's no beta the week before the launch event, so I don't think we'll see a beta release that week. That's assuming the event is on September 9th, of course.

I’m sure bro. I’m doing this even the early beta days. Anyway if you’re not sure. You can always backup to your mac or pc before updating to beta, don’t forget to archive the backup so it won’t overwrite to newer beta.

Are you on a max or non-max device? Wondering is screen size is causing the difference. I’ve been looking at different websites and when it collapses down to the smaller address bar, it adapts its width on my 14 Pro Max. On websites with a shorter domain, it’s narrower than in my screenshot of MR forums, but I’ve not ever seen it as narrow as you are seeing since I installed 26 on B3. Very odd!
I would say keep it and get a battery replacement if needed - I am keeping my 15 PM for another two years until 2027 iPhone

Would also be possible. Battery is now at 88% with around 620 charging cycles. It’s solid.
I’m a bit attracted by the possible two tone look on the back at the iPhone 17 Pros, if the leaks might be true and the 48 megapixels for all three camera lenses.

This is what I have to do since I ported to Verizon and got stuck in their stupid 3 year plan. January I can upgrade but I’ll wait to next September and then definitely get it at the Apple Store and get the 512gig version that I wanted this time but couldn’t get it.

It doesn’t let my sync. It shows syncing like it’s already in progress. The blue bar eventually goes away. It just comes back midday and goes away after I sleep. I wonder if it’s just saving battery and not syncing until it’s plugged in at night? I’m sure it will get fixed.

On my iPhone 15 with Compact bar what happens is that I see the full [core] website address when the bar is in its smallest (passive mode), yet it gets weirdly right-aligned from the end when the bar is in full (its largest mode), as in the pics below. Reported to Apple.
So in the bottom example I would expect the address to read: “forums.macrumors.com”
For people using Dynamic iOS 26 wallpaper. Does it go through colour changes for you, as expected? In my case it just chooses any seemingly random colour from the selection and then sticks to it, just changing the brightness of it, depending on the time of the day. I think it was working fine until DB5. 🤷🏻♂️
Yes, just one contact. Yesterday the background was disappearing 50% of the time when I’d click a message notification from that contact. Seems to be fine today, however. I did do a restart this morning, so that may have fixed whatever was causing the gremlin to raise its head.
Edit: I typed too soon. Just went into that message thread and the background is gone again. Must have jinxed myself.
I see. When it’s in the minimal view ist begins with „forums…“ but when it expands it only shows the ending of the URL.
I’m pretty sure these are small details that are going to be fixed until the final release version.
Ah I see. The smaller screen is definitely having an impact as on my Max it shows the full address in the case of this site. I’m now imagining the design committee meeting at Apple Park to decide whether to show the address from the left or right
Go into your Screen Capture settings and turn on HDR. See if that makes a difference?Has anyone noticed screenshots of the home screen look much darker than they are? It's odd. Here's the difference. The one on the left is correct. The wallpaper should look light and bright. But when I screenshot it, it turns dark like on the right.
