Since B1, every Beta update has been huge - all around the 10-12GB mark. B6 came in at 10.6GB. I've been on the Beta program for a few years now and cannot remember updates being so large! Or is it just me?

It's been that way since beta 1. I've mentioned before how I dislike it. I've found myself switching wallpapers just to get it to look a bit nicer.
I'm still seeing scrolling jitter in Safari especially on the BBC website as I'm in the UK :-( 16 PM reported it on feedback twice but showing as no other issues reported so looks like we'll have to live with it. :-(
It seems to be a bug, I think what is downloaded is actually much less.
For me it varies by device. iPad Pro M2 is usually > 10 GB per beta, iPhone 12 mini is like 2-4 GB.
But I noticed the iPad makes jumps in the download progress and the download happens way faster than my connection speed should allow. Feels like it also just downloads 2-4 GB, but shows it as more for some reason.
Thanks for this comment. I’ve been holding off since beta 2 as the scrolling in Safari was so bad it was unusable. I’ll hold off until this is fixed.
Oh that’s annoying! The 16 Pros seemed to have been the worst performers on 26 from reading the forums! I did see someone say they’d turned off Apple Intelligence and things improved quite a bit. On my 14PM I haven’t had a single stutter in Safari all day. I’ll check out BBC, but Google search results were the worst for me on the prior betas.
Apple just says from iOS 26 on, can’t find an information if this is still the case in this beta.
Probably just asking chat gpt when you use it over Apple AI?

last time i was posting about adding the light touch halo when changing the clock setting on a lock screen, now it is added to safari navbar too, when you touch it and hold there will be light around your finger, looks like they are slowly implementing it across the whole system

This beta 6 running pretty perfectly and blazing fast on my 16 Plus. Glad I finally jumped in.

- Messages app is frequently syncing with iCloud messages and shows a blue progress bar under Messages that then goes away and comes back after a few messages.
- Any time you assign a custom background to a messages chat, there’s a 50/50 chance it will reset itself and show the chat without the background until you force close the app and reopen.
This is the only bug I’ve encountered so far, otherwise agree that this is a fantastically performing release. Night and day from B5.
Battery life went from "surprisingly good in so many iOS versions" from last beta, back to "oh that battery drainer" now on the beta 6, on an iPhone 16 Pro.
Man, what can I say.
Can you imagine just doing "screenshot" (once), select and paste to a friend on iMessage, 20 character words message, and the battery went from 97% to 95% in a flash?

I am still seeing stuttering in safari as well. It’s vastly better though in this beta.
Presumably it's due to the Apple Intelligence local models being updated. Turning Apple Intelligence off reduces the update sizes.
It’s still there on iOS 26, at least when you’re entering text into the Safari address bar.
No bug as for now on the 15 Pro Max, fluid and fast, maybe battery is draining a bit faster, but I downloaded it yesterday evening so not even 24hrs have passed since the installation
Something small but I think here the dismiss button was a blue checkmark initially. Which didn’t make too much sense to me. Now I see they have changed to a neutral dismiss button.
With beta 6 they have slightly adjusted the top safe area (or top margin in non-developer terms) so that content, like buttons, in the top navigation bar no longer almost touch the Dynamic Island. Looks much better.
