It sent me some notifications not long after I made the post. Nice feature. I am interested to see if it will be able to replace the Parcel app.
In my experience, absolutely not. It certainly lacks a lot of detailed information, and you don’t get updates as your shipment goes along it’s a journey as you would with parcel, and it rarely ever says an item was actually delivered.

Nah, that looks trash. The previous beta added more gloss/shine to the elements, these are more “blurred” and slightly frosted. It looks like the normal, everyday transparency that we’ve had for decades.
I haven’t used any of the previous betas to be able to compare it to. All I can say is how I’m loving the new Liquid Glass design elements on this iOS 26 beta I’ve started on.

Definitely not seen it on any previous iPhone and iOS software.

I can't get over how stupid this looks. You have the full width of the screen available why are you only using the center third to show the phone number? Why do I need an inch of blur across the top of my screen? The whole top banner might as well be opaque since the blur makes whatever's behind it illegible.

Anyone tried it on CarPlay yet? I've heard rumblings that it's not working and that's what's keeping me from pulling the trigger on the phone. iPad and MacBook Air running fine on their latest betas.
Seemed to be working fine in my car on my random Chinese dash cam CarPlay screen this morning although I didn't actually interact with it but connected and looked like it was working as expected.

Yes, it’s slower for a few people.

In case it’s helpful, here’s an other data point:

I installed beta 7 yesterday on my 15PM, coming from 18.6.1.

I’ve had a great experience. My device hasn’t gotten hot, except during and shortly after the initial installation. Everything is fast and fluid. Really fast.

I haven’t yet tested all my apps, but the ones I’ve used have all worked normally. Including CarPlay and banking/credit card apps, and a few games and most of the stock apps I regularly use.

YMMV, but for me, I’m really happy I jumped in.

And I’m also really grateful to the early adopters for toughing it out for the past 7-8 weeks so that people like us can have a better experience.
Honestly, I've been running it since dev beta 2 on my 15PM and it's been smooth sailing the entire time probably the most painless beta I've ever ran. I never had any apps not work and no really slow downs or anything experience impacting other than maybe a few graphical stutters when it was low on charge but I also got them on iOS 18 too so can't be sure

9to5mac is completely broken as far as light and dark mode 😂 when my phones in light mode the website is dark, and then in dark mode it’s light
That’s more than likely an issue with cookies on your device. Mine sometimes gets flip flopped as well, even before iOS 26. Try it in a private browsing window

The way, the glassy outline pops in after the app closing animation, is driving me mad!
That cannot be the way it’s supposed to look! With folders, the way the outline is animated on closure is different, it does not pop at all!

But with normal app icons, it just looks cheap. I cannot unsee it, even in light mode, the outline just pops in after the closing animation is compete.
Feedback provided already with b5 and b6, seems no one cares thou.
Yeah this is pretty bad design. Unfortunately I bet this makes it into public release, given it has persisted for so long. Apple doesn’t seem to have the eye for details like this anymore. It’s sad.

I've used both Parcels and Deliveries. IMO, both have been crippled by UPS and FedEx refusing to play. I have cancelled both over time, and I'm kind of excited to see what Apple does with their package info in Wallet. Also, curious to know if they can accurately report on UPS and FedEx tracking info.

There will be many visual artifacts, bugs and more making their way into the public release.

What new ways have you discovered?
For example, in email app the buttons for delete/move to folder/reply right there at the bottom handy while in an email. While in a email back arrow shows the unread count. In settings the new battery info. In messages, while in a conversation the persons contact with name right there and can tap for location easily. Little things like that that are just everyday usability enhancements.

Sounds like leaving 7 alone is a good idea! I have noticed in 6 that the icon lighting is static and doesn’t move with the device. I assume this is to stop battery drain on older devices.

Ok after 24 hours of usage, beta 7 is worse than 6. That’s not to say it’s garbage, but buggier. Less glass, some visual glitches in dark mode, and overall a small step back. We have beta 8 next week, then an RC, then public release. It could also be RC next week and we hold onto it for a few weeks until public release.

For me, beta 7 is even better than 6! Super smooth and haven’t really run into any bugs.
