Here’s a slowed down video of how app icons flash black when you tap on them while using the clear icons theme. It happens very fast. Look carefully at the Reddit icon.

Anyone else see this?

Also happening with widgets. They flash their original color and get stuck shaded gray for a moment:

Anyone else have issues where this toolbar doesn’t show up when you start typing? I’m using iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard. It also doesn’t give me word prediction, but it does on my iPhone. Both are running betas.

i have the same problem..the solution is to change the multitasking mode from windowed apps to full screen apps..
i have already sent it to apple feedback..you have to send it also in order to solve this problem

Are you sure? Look very carefully. It’s for a split fraction of a second.

Don’t know what to tell you. Unless some weird setting (other than reduce transparency which is off) got turned on for me on beta 7, this is less glassy than beta 6. Some elements basically look so blurry and frosted that I can’t spot the Liquid Glass at all.
Maybe the background your using plays a role in getting less Liquid Glass!?

Because with my wallpaper I have much Liquid Glass

The wallpaper brightness toggle really affects the glass effect, try toggle that and see the difference.

Anyone tried it on CarPlay yet? I've heard rumblings that it's not working and that's what's keeping me from pulling the trigger on the phone. iPad and MacBook Air running fine on their latest betas.

Yea, good observation. Personally, I find that it looks more glassy with the high brightness toggle because the dim wallpaper toggle makes the icons look a bit more frosted.

High vs low wallpaper brightness:

So every toggle now when you tap it shows the Liquid Glass bubble, starting in beta 6, but the WiFi toggle does not. It just abruptly switches. You’ll see the animation if you drag it, but tapping it doesn’t.
Seems odd. You would imagine Apple would use some type of CLASS to achieve consistency of the same elements.

There’s a bug with backgrounding an app and the effect is has on Liquid Glass.

If you scroll over content that requires the glass to become lighter and then background the app by swiping home, and then reopen, the glass refreshes to a much more transparent version until you scroll a bit to make it refresh.

Before and after, you can see the legibility on the pink music glyph go right down on the bugged non whitened version of the bar.

Car play is REALLY laggy for me on a Toyota with a wired connection... I had to use (gasp! ) Google Maps yesterday.

Most everything is almost clear for me like notifications. I am super stoked how this is turning out. Loving the new ways of doing everyday tasks across the board. Performance is great. Hope they keep it more glassy now that they have it such that you can read things in the boxes now. Perhaps because I have darker wallpaper and use the dark icons. I dunno but I like it!
What new ways have you discovered?

Why is Control Center pulldown is not like Notification pull down?

Notification pull down looks fantastic, what am I missing?

Control Center looks out of place and inconsistent. Few betas back there was some stretching, some glass effect. Now it’s boring and forgotten.

anyone catch the Reddit post about a white bar being on the display now that’s stuck?

Several people over there all using iPhone 15 pro with a brighter bar of white across the street. Each person has there in a different or similar spot.

Makes me nervous to throw it on my 15 pro.

This is a good example to illustrate the change I'm seeing from beta 6 to beta 7.
On beta 6, most elements including the notifications had that glassy look and now on beta 7 it has that frosted blurred look which IMO is a downgrade and closer to ios 18.

It’s going on the right direction for me on my 16PM. I hope that the battery life is going to be better

Latest beta seems to be running on on the 12 with decent battery life. They've definitely polished it recently.

On an M1 iPad though its still dishwater. Swiping in the app library reloads every app icon.

Doesn't appear on my 15PM
