Still seeing some apps in folders in the wrong setting (light vs dark).
Thumbnails in apps like YouTube are back to being grey at odd times.
iPad Pro 11 with MKB - some functions are not working consistently. Ex: using the spacebar to pause/resume a video.
Safari tabs at time will not load from a bookmark. Killing it and retrying usually fixes the issue.
Safari tabs - switching to an open tab will at time stutter or have a low frame rate
Mail “Select All” on all folders except Inbox still missing
After update, all my icons are condensed up and left. Have to put back into position every time.

Only using an iPad these days but this does not look ready for prime time. Seems to be the norm. ☹️
Not a fan of Liquid Glass. On any OS.

The obsession with details that Apple used to have has been long gone for years. Not saying people shouldn’t complain, but comparing the Tim Cook Apple with the Jobs Apple (or even the Scott Forstall Apple) will always end in annoyance. I don’t know Samsung’s One UI well, but I would assume there are issues on the Android side as well – exception being Google, who clearly still invests in design.

Which makes sense, as Google’s had the technology, but it was tied to poor user experience and visual design. Those things can be improved (as they’ve demonstrated). Apple went the other direction.

My point being that Apple is just like any other technology company now, and OS 1.0 releases are going to continue to be an annoying combination of half-baked features and lack of attention to detail.

I’m glad they still solicit feedback, which they _do_ listen to (the yo-yo-ing of the glass UI as an example), but the attention to detail? It’s gone, and without a leadership change, it ain’t coming back.

Running a couple of Sammy’s with OneUI.
While it does have a few bugs, nothing at this level.

I was glad Apple released another beta. For me, battery life took a step back on beta 8 compared to betas 6 and 7. (Also, performance under beta 8 for me was slightly worse than betas 6 & 7.). After letting things settle yesterday, I'm keeping a closer eye on battery life today and it seems improved so far. Still early days, of course.

And battery life still not up to 18.6.x (from which I upgraded to 26 beta 6), which for me was the best battery life I've ever had on my 15 pro max.

Why can't Apple just implement a slider for the transparency, instead of changing the opacity in every beta...?
Considering how buggy Liquid Glass still is I’m assuming it’s not that simple. In some cases there are still real legibility issues that are not just a matter of preference on how transparent you want something.

Honestly the Liquid Glass Apple showed off in the WWDC developer sessions seems like vaporware. What’s in the current betas is not that at all and more and more it’s looking like it’s going to ship in the sorry state it’s currently in. Sad.

I think they got a lot of complaints with the first iteration of liquid glass. So they toned it down some. What part are you not happy with?

This is my only gripe with 26 and is to be expected so I keep it to myself. I’m away from 0700 - 2230 on my work days and used to get through the day with 20-30 percent remaining. On 26 so far it’s been a struggle and I’ve had to plug in several days to make it home.

I just hope they’re able to get us back to iOS 18 efficiency.

When the keypad is up, I get the following search box and tick. Because of this, at times I can't either scroll anything above the box or at time can't type. It's also impossible to see anything below it, such as the attach file button.

Is there anyway of permanently getting rid of it?

Can't get dark icons to come on when the phone moves to night mode, whether through the automatic changing in setting or manually. Same issue on my iPad. Only way to get dark icons is to customize the home screen that way.

It's probably because of the third-party keyboard. Those aren't updated yet to properly support iOS 26.

How’s everyone’s iPhone doing one day after beta 9?

Mine is pretty smooth. Only issues are the visual bugs. But otherwise, seems good on the 16 Plus.
No complaints on my iPhone 13, it’s been very smooth throughout the beta process. They only glitch I had found is the mute switch on the side occasionally has no effect but it’s an easy fix so I don’t call it much of an issue and it seldom happens.

I still have all icons redrawing every time I switch btw light and dark. They redraw faster (most of the time) than in the last 2 betas, but still does it every time. I also see a slight redraw when switching from page to page at times. A couple of times, the redraw was severe when switching. I think it's something with my system or the amount of apps I have installed...not sure. I'm going to do an IPSW install soon.

Also, if I update 5 apps at a time, the phone heats up like crazy.
IPSW install didn't help.

Switching back to Settings from another app causes app icons to switch between light/dark appearance…lots of visual bugs in iOS 26 seem to relate to light/dark appearance. Still getting bug wherein keyboard briefly contracts in width upon invoking as well, and had a new one today where Music audio completely cut out over wired EarPods upon pausing and then resuming via the in-line mic button

26 is shaping up to be yet another hot mess release from our friends in Cupertino o_O
Not seeing this on my phone, even when switching between dark and light mode. Working as expected.

Has anyone tried a fresh install without restoring from a back up to see if a lot of the visual issues go away then? (I assume not, but curious if anyone has installed it from scratch).
